Some jackass did this at a Supercharger that I was ogling at in Florida. Except instead of trying to make it fit, failing, and then parking some place else- this person just stuffed the handle in their wheel well and walked off.

Spoiler: At the end, the guy says he has a dead battery but he was mucking with the Tesla destination "charger" than a Clipper Creek J1772 EVSE. I shudder at how just threw the handles on the ground.
