I'll say that without the "crappy" AV network, I would be driving a gasser for longish trips. I've gone places a Leaf can't go unless there was the AV network. I-5 north to Seattle and south to Ashland, OR. All up and down the Oregon and WA coast (Hwy 101), it's really great! For me it's worth it to support, really, the best game in town. Why do all others suck? must be some reason. Will there be more competition? i can only hope. will there ever be better? yes, the nature of things is to improve. in most areas. This is pretty early in the EV game, relative to gas infrastructure. Have I paid $5/gallon of gas in the middle of nowhere? yes, because it was the only game in town to get me where I was headed. I find the AV network VERY easy and reliable. Pricing can always be cheaper. Charge me $1 for something and I'll ask, why not half that. People's nature to want it cheaper, faster, better...and want it yesterday. Untill EVs are REALLY mainstream, we have to put up or go back to gas.
I do hope more charging stalls are in the plans. surely these AV stations will become overused soon. Well, I am overly optimistic about EVs this time around. Seems they are real and increasing slowly. Love my Leaf!
