Pardon me if this has been asked 63 times already. I want to buy an OBD II to use with LeafSpy. Any suggestions on which one of the following (or anything else) should I get?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009F4JHHO

http://www.amazon.com/Vgate-ELM327-Bluetooth-Scanner-ANDROID/dp/B00AAOOQJC (I'm leaning towards this one.)

Are you using iOS or Android?

the first one is the one I bought. No complaints. Have been using it since early 2013. Low profile means it won't get in the way.

I have one that I like for the Arizona climate that is a mini with an on/off switch, I purchased it off Amazon from Sannysis. On the Amazon website search bar type: Sannysis V1.5 Mini ELM327 OBD2 OBDll Bluetooth Adapter Auto Scanner for Android. It is black with a blue on/off button. Do not pick V2.1 or translucent blue one.

Since you are using Android, either Bluetooth or WiFi will work.

But MOST of the Chinese Bluetooth units are now defective and do not work.
Only one that Turbo3 the developer has much confidence still works.

I have been using Bluetooth but plan to buy WiFi for the much greater distance convenience.
I plan to follow Turbo3's recommendation.

But some like the smaller ICAR3.

The recommendation of the developer in his own Play Store description tells you which one works.

OK, I looked and it says "The only one currently recommended is the Bluetooth Konnwei KW902 which still supports all the needed ELM commands to communicate with the Leaf."

And I found one there on Amazon that looks like it should be fine, the Cheerlink Konnwei KW902: http://www.amazon.com/CHEERLINK®-KO...&qid=1446133933&sr=8-2&keywords=konnwei+kw902

But, I also found a different one, the BAFX OBD2 Scan Tool:
http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products...p/B005NLQAHS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
It is about the same price as the KW902. However, it has a little picture showing their circuit board, compared to other products, and states that theirs is better. Now, it actually does look a bit better to me, but I don't know what they're comparing against either. It probably isn't the Cheerlink one.

So before I order one, are there any opinions from the experts, or those who've tried either of these? One thing is the Cheerlink has 32 reviews, and the BAFX has 5274 reviews, a huge difference. One other difference is I think the Cheerlink has an on/off switch, and the BAFX doesn't, but I'm not sure how important that really is.

Thanks for the help.

Get the one from Amazon that I posted up or the one the developer suggested. I personally like a mini with an on/off switch. I did a test on getting a few with trial and error, and the one I posted in the thread above, currently works. Keep in mind it was also a relatively recent purchase.
