Tomorrow's Gathering should have LEAFs, Teslas, Rav4EVs, a BMW i3, possibly a Coda,
and hopefully an iMev. Come see, learn, share some of your experiences, eat, chat,
and generally have a good time. Leave nourished in body, heart, mind, and soul.

I plan to be there very vlose to 8AM, and stay until at least 11.
CU There, Gary

For the first time we had No LEAFs at the Gathering, just Teslas, a BMW i3, and a Coda.
Next time, in 2 weeks, in Santa Ana, we should have more.
But, we had some good discussions.
Cheers, Gary

Seems like a lot of people saw the LEAF as an interim lease only electric vehicle.

As more production EVs have become available, primarily EVs with
noticably to substantially longer Range, many owners have evolved to
newer vehicles. The LEAF remains an excellent deal on the used
market for someone who has only limited range requirements.
With supplemental (away-from-home) charging skills, it is still
a very capable vehicle. One of our group has over 100,000 miles,
and just bought a new battery pack (about $5600 out the door)
so he now has new-car range again. Not bad for about 4.6 years.

Our next EV Gathering is this coming Saturday, Nov 21st, at the
Hometown Buffet on 17th Street in Santa Ana, just 2 blocks East
of the I-5 freeway. I plan to be there at 8 AM, when they open for
breakfast, and stay until at least 11 AM.

Hope to see you there, Gary

Our next Gathering is in 2 days, 1 hour, and 26 minutes, in
Santa Ana, CA, on 17th Street, at the Hometown Buffet just
2 blocks East of the I-5 freeway.

We hope to have a brand new blue S70 there, with new tint, but
probably arriving late (if he can get the car from the tint guys).

Don, with Pedego electric bicycles, should be there in a Tesla.
See you there, Gary

Last Saturday we had 14 at the Gathering, including 4 ladies.
Tom made it, but Don (from Pedego) did not.
Lots of good discussions.
I think we had LEAF, Tesla S, BMW i3, Coda, Rav4EV, and one other.

The new Blue Tesla S70 was still getting a tinting, but might be
able to join us next time, December 5th, in Cerritos.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I am thankful for the love and comradery that this great group shares,
and my wife, my puppy, and my other wonderful friends.
May the world, through some miracle, find peace and cooperation.

Our EV Gathering is a breakfast for EV owners and a good place
for the EV-curious to get questions answered, or to find out
the relevant questions.

We have a good, friendly group to chat with while having
some food, from a fairly wide selection, buffet style.

We welcome the young, the old, and the those in the
in-between awkward years ... anyone with a kind spirit.

I plan to be there via my Tesla (previously my LEAF) very close
to 8 AM. See you there. A new Blue Tesla S70 should be there ...
possibly 5 makes of EVs.

Two days, one hour and 9 minutes wntil our next Gathering.,
in Cerritos CA at the Hometown Buffet on South Street, just
2 blocks East of the 605 freeway and about a mile South of
the 91 freeway, in the Greayer Los Angeles basin.

See you there, they open at 8 AM for breakfast.

Great Gathering, with 11 people and a Service Dog
that is continuing his training.

We arrived in 9 vehicles, including 6 different makes:
3 LEAFs (J, A, D),
1 BMW i3 (P),
2 Tesla Model S (G & S, T),
1 iMev (?),
1 Rav4EV (J + H),
1 2016 Volt (B), with Biria bike.

We saw, and some rode, a nifty folding compact bicycle,
which can be seen at http://www.biria.com/series/folding

Our last official Gathering in 2015 is Saturday, December 19th, at the
Hometown Buffet on 17th Street, just 2 blocks East of the I-5 freeway.

The first Gathering of 2016 will be 3 weeks later, on January 9th, at
the Hometown Buffet in Cerritos.

If you do not have sufficient friends or family to be with
on Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve, let me/us know
and we can try to have some kind of Special Gathering.

Thank you all for the wonderful year.
Sincerely, Gary, Nancy, and Heidi.
