Ok, I'm headed for my 1st day at the show in less than an hour.

Anyone else here for the show besides one person I know of and someone who was there yesterday? (Both are MNL users, one quite famous.)

Tokyo Motor Show was great! Japan was great! I met w/the two MNLers (including the famous one) while in Japan, as well. Kinda funny to travel partway around the world to meet two people from the southern part of your own state. (I'll let them come forward, if they wish.)

Earlier tonight, I watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se7coxA7fc0 (Tokyo Motor Show 2015 Backstage Pass by Nissan Newsroom). Was kinda to cool to see all the work that goes into having a presence at TMS.

Woah, spotted what looks like Akio Toyoda at ~3:45 next to a GT-R!

Re: the above tour, the 38 pictures at http://www.cnet.com/news/behold-the-hau ... ip-island/ give a pretty good sense of what you'll see on a boat tour to the island.

I went on it and am glad I went. Unfortunately, I really should've ponied up the cash for an English interpreter/tour guide. Some (but not all) of the companies that run the tours let you hire one for that purpose. On the tour I was on, they sure talked a LOT in Japanese but I didn't understand a word. So, maybe I missed quite a bit.

If I end up in Nagasaki again, I will go on the tour again, but this time w/an English interpreter/tour guide.

at the various places we went, there was always a headset option you could rent that translated several languages. guessing they were all pre recorded info verses an actual translation of what the guide was saying
