Plug-in Electric Car Day at UUCW

Craig Van Batenburg and friends are doing a “Teach-in” for anyone that wants to fight climate change. With our environmental laws being reversed you may ask yourself “What can I do?” More than you know and for less than you may think. Did you know a used EV sells for less than $10,000? New EVs go over 200 miles on one charge? The US Government (may change soon) has rebates up to $7,500 and Massachusetts will send you a check for $2,500.

When: May 7, 2017 – Sunday 2pm to 5pm

Where: UU Church 90 Holden Street Worcester, MA

Cost: Bring a dish for a pot luck a late lunch or donate what you can

Schedule of events;

2 to 3pm: Food, visit with speakers, look at plug-in cars
3 to 4pm: Speakers with address issues of Climate Change, Oil dependency, Clean Energy, UUCW’s solar panel project and Electric Cars and Plug-in Cars. There will plenty of time for Q &A.
4 to 5pm: Meet with car dealers, both new and used, so get to know what is available. See the cars on display. No selling will be done. This event is educational.
This event is Brand Neutral. We are not promoting any one car.

I would love to be there, but I have family birthday dinner plans.

Please post information from this. I live nearby, and I'd like to follow up.
