I wish NC had a state rebate but I still think it's a good deal. I loved the 2014 SV I leased so I expect to be happy with this one. I tried to get an SV without the premium package but there are none left within 500 miles of Raleigh, with light grey interior. For me, the interior color was more important than exterior. Looking at the sticker from 2014 vs 2017, the premium package (Bose sound system & surround cameras) increased by about $500. It was $1,570 on the 2017. It doesn't sound $500 better than the old car, but it sounds good.
I've been relaying these amazing deals to some friends. Pretty great!
One of our two SV's has Premium and other doesn't. I wouldn't say a deal-breaker either way.
I've gotten used to the all-around camera in mine, and miss it when I drive the other without (although the backup camera view is much bigger without the all-around view taking up room on the screen). I especially like the front camera when parking as well as it provides a wide angle view when pulling forward out of a garage, making it less likely to surprise a pedestrian. I just wish the CAMERA button was easier to quickly find, like on the steering wheel. The parallel parking view (press the CAMERA button twice) is pretty neat in the city.
The Bose is nice for certain kinds of music when using a high quality source (not SXM), especially acoustic jazz - far less bass is pumped through the door speakers. On the SV without the Premium Package, the door speakers vibrate the panels trying to keep up. Not a problem if the volume is kept low.
