recommended general ev forum for discussion?

There are some general industry issues I'd like to discuss with a wider audience than the mostly Leaf drivers. Myelectriccarforums.com, of which mynissanleaf.com appears to be a subset, does not seem to host a forum that is a general forum.... all forums seem to be model-specific (unless I am missing something).

Yes, I know of some of the usual places, but I am just wondering if anyone has a particular forum in mind they like.

One topic I'd like to come back to is renting a PHEV hassle free in the places I live or travel.... still have not succeeded in doing this, in the four years since the Volt came out.

DIY Electric Car Forums is probably the most "generic" one I've run across. But of course it leans heavily towards building and converting cars.

Rather than go to another forum, why don't we find ways to have general EV discussions here....

I would like that, as I am totally tired of people discussing how to program charging to 82%, or which charging station is the BEST.

Thanks, this is a constructive answer but for me personally, I am not interested in do-it-yourself-leaning forums. To the extent that the vehicle-makers offer low-maintenance vehicles, those are what interest me.

I think there should be plenty of room made for the sorts of threads you mention, but as well, there should be places we can all go if we want to discuss general EV economics, policy, business, technology, etc. I have sometimes expressed this to the folks at myelectriccarforums.com (of which mynissanleaf.com is part). I hadn't checked it recently, but looking now I see they have set something up, maybe (going by some of the posts) sometime in 2016.

This may be common knowledge here at this point (I have not checked mynissanleaf.com regularly since I got a Volt, so I don't know), but seems worth mentioning and adding to the list of interesting-looking places to discuss things with others interested in EVs.
