Phasing out Nissan Leaf Blogs in favor of new platform

The current Nissan Leaf Blogs system will be phased out over the next month.

Forum members will be sent to My EV Blog to create a free blog. MyEVBlog.com has a contest running in conjunction with the phasing out of our system - create a blog and you could win an EVSE or other cool prizes

Why
The current blogging software is out of date and requires a timely process to update it and increase security.
We have received multiple comments about the confusing and hard to use blogging interface.

When
The current blogs will remain as they are until September 30th. In early October, the links on this forum will be forwarded to MyEVBlog.com

What is the status of myevblog? It seems to have gone down. Is this permanent? Will we be able to retrieve our posts?

This is the second blog system that has "disappeared" on me on mynissanleaf. I would really like to be able to retrieve my content if possible as I had developed a following and now people are asking what my future plans are.

Hi Lance - sorry for the scare! No, it isn't going away.

The server upgraded to SSDs a little while ago and I'm guessing that's when the issue started.
Looking into it now, I'll update you when it's solved.

Just keep this forum as is, maybe with stickies added for FAQ type posts. Give the bloggers a typewriter and a ream of colored paper. People who want to blog can inflict the urge on their families and neighbors.
