Hi all, I got a 2018 Leaf back in May. Just finished my electrical install to enable home charging, needed to run 90 feet of wiring and a new 240 outlet.

Problem is now I want to use the portable charger that came with the car. In the charging manual, it shows a wall mounted holster that isnt with the charger, NOR can I find one online to purchase.

Anyone know if it should have come with the new charger, OR know how to buy one? I cant find it anywhere online to buy! Of course the dealership isnt any help either.

What does the new charger look like? I have a holster for the old EVSE that you'd be more than welcome to have if it would work..

If your looking for just the end to mount to a wall to hold the J1772 I have two of these and like them

Thanks all, havent responded back been trying to find holder still. Basically its the holster that holds the the big controller box portion of the charger on a wall while charging, not a holster for the charging end while not in use.

It looks like the older one if yours is black with some blue writing on it, but wider I believe

The dealer handed me one when I bought my 2018 Leaf w/ charger package in September. It did not come in the car with the EVSE bag. The holder is made of steel, is heavy duty, and allows you to easily slip in/out the EVSE controller box. I tried looking for a 2nd one, just in case I wanted to mount one at a relatives house, but I had trouble finding it. I am holding off for now, until I really need it.

I am guessing that you want to a holder to easily slip the box in/out, and not necessarily a method to permanently wall-mount the EVSE . I looked around to see what caught my eye for making this a DIY project and came up with a few ideas:

======
1. Wall-mounted (wire frame) iron/ironing board holder, similar to:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076ZH77BT
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PSFTVC

The wire frame should be strong enough to hold the box and allows airflow for cooling of the box when it heats up during charging.
I took measurements of the Nissan portable EVSE controller box (10-1/2"H x 4-1/4"W x 2-3/4"D) and realized that it measures very close to that of a typical iron (excluding the handle). The EVSE box, excluding cable, seems to weigh under 10 lbs.

2. Garage track system with hooks, similar to:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rubbermaid-FastTrack-Garage-48-in-Hang-Rail-Track-Storage-System-1784415/100498598

3. Garage PVC wall panel, similar to:
Panels

Hooks
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Proslat-4-in-25-lb-Single-Hook-12-Pack-13002/204743455

The EVSE box has four 3/16" ID holes on opposite corners, so 1/8" (std size) x 4" hooks should fit.

4. PVC pegboard with heavy duty hooks.
======

Also, I have my cable rolled up and hanging separately from this wall hook:

I was interested in buying a second charger wall mount so I could have 1 at my 50 amp outlet and 1 at my 15 amp outlet and I came across this old thread. If anyone is looking for a wall mount, it's called the "EVSE Holder" and it's Nissan part #296M8-5SA0A.

Installation instructions:

I found a garden hose holder at my local hardware store with a relatively flat and square cross section that fits my 2012 granny EVSE quite well. About AU$10 (US$7).

Thanks, but... $66! For a bracket!

You can see holes in the corners of the molding. When I was using the heavy 1st Gen brick while waiting for our L2, I just used a hook and a loop of twine to support brick so it didn't put strain on the plug. Not as elegant, but effective.

Hello new here with with 2019 SL plus silver in AZ
I Purchased recently from a person who had his LEAF totaled. The unused level 2 charger. Similar to mine
Upon close examination including the instructions that came with it. I realized there are 2 types. One with a holder and one without. I though it was just left out but I took a photo of the instructions. One left out the bracket completely.

I just can’t place an image ( I tried ) of the two almost similar minus the bracket illustration. And it’s expensive to buy it separately. Otherwise everything is the same.

The one without the holder may be for Level One charging only. Did the one you got have a large 120 volt plug adapter fitted over a range type 240 volt plug?

Welcome to the forum!

What is the document number of the EVSE instructions that exclude the holder? See Page 1 of the English side of the doc.

The portable L1/L2 EVSE that I got with my 2018 Leaf came with instructions doc # YEFM0411716A. Page 2 shows and addresses the holder.
