I literally see no ads or jumping but ADP shows 4 things blocked on every page at MNL, maybe one of those is it....
Anyway back to my normal ad free screen

If they did the email validation and also asked some basic questions related to EVs/PHEVs, electricity or EV charging, that'd probably help weed out a lot of this garbage.

The incoming spam topics are just crazy.

Can we get some screening questions and some more validation that these are legit EV/PHEV drivers or people who genuinely have an interest?

This is what happens when I'm away from the site for two whole hours overnight. I don't know if there are large numbers of spammers at work here, or just one or two with a lot of determination. Each and every one of them gets banned for life, so they have to start from scratch after one, or maybe two or three posts. So yes, it needs to be harder to get a membership, but I suspect that any reasonable automated entry barrier would be ineffective. What is needed is human approval of each membership application.

About how many legit looking applications do we get each day vs. the spammers? Maybe it is best to have the above.

I have no idea of how many applications are received. Looking at numbers of spammers I delete a day (roughly 20) and the number of genuine new people who show up per day (one or so?) I'd say that 80-90% of the applicants are spammers.

Do these spammers have IPs corresponding to some outside the US country/countries?

Is there any region/country blocking of where people can sign up from or where we can give those extra scrutiny? Seems like countries where Leaf is available shouldn't be blocked and any others might be spammers.

TCF has blocking: https://www.tivocommunity.com/community ... ed.569060/ and can be quite annoying. It prevents any access from blocked countries, even if already signed in from outside a blocked country. Been there, done that.

I don't know if I have access to IP addresses. I know that at least one of the Mods can block them, but I have no info on them.
