How do I set up a poll?

Hi - I may have asked this question a long time ago, but I don't know, and couldn't find much information on this in a 10 minute search of the site.

I haven't decided on exact wording, but basically I want to poll forum participants as to whether, or to what extent, they are disappointed in Nissan's choice not to go with liquid cooling for the e-Plus.

I think you need to be a paid member to set up a poll.

I ran into this ages ago and one of the mods created a poll for me, I think.

Thanks, I have been a paid member, but let it lapse when I gave the Leaf back. I did look before asking my question, but didn't see an indication that being able to set up polls was one of the perks offered for setting up a membership. I'm ok with it, if thats the quid pro quo.

I just looked all over the site, and I can't find a "Start A Poll" option anywhere. I suspect it was dropped a while back, as I also don't recall seeing a site-generated poll.

I also looked around as a user and don't see anything in these seemingly sort-of related places:

I'm not a paying member and haven't used the forum much since I moved on to a different vehicle, but my two cents for what it's worth is that I think polls are sometimes fun features to have in a forum. In this particular forum, since consumer preference is somewhat hard to gauge (depending on whom you ask?), and since it has been such a big issue in the life of the Leaf model, this might add a rationale for tracking down if it would be low-resource to add a poll feature to the forum. Perhaps, if it is resource-intensive to offer a polling feature (such as if it tends to make more work for the moderators) then it could be added as a limited feature for paid members, such as they get to create and perhaps edit one poll every two months, something like that. It's possible though that the forum owners have already been there and done that as far as tossing around these ideas, and there are probably good reasons they do not seem to offer polling, so, as I said, just my two cents.
