Re: Nissan No Charge to Charge Program

Wasn't sure if I should post this here or elsewhere. https://www.ez-charge.com/ says "Don't miss out! Last day to purchase or lease a LEAF to qualify for this offer is July 7, 2019."

https://www.evgo.com/special-offers/nis ... ge-charge/ says "Don't miss out. Offer ends July 7, 2019!"

I wonder if it'll really end that day or just be extended and the "end date" is intended to be a call to action/create demand by creating an artificial sense of urgency.

Careful reading of Nissan USA web site (LEAF section) shows last day for purchase in all USA markets covered by the program as 7/7/2019. Since I won't be purchasing an SL+ that soon, I assume the program will be expired if I do decide to buy a new car. I guess that is one way to mitigate the slow charge rate (rapid gate) issue since buyers will be less likely to drive long distances if they have to pay $10 for each DCQC.

Hmmm.... Indeed. I wonder if that is some of the motivation. If it does finally end on 7/7/19 and isn't renewed, even fewer people will be complaining and it will become even lower in Nissan's list of top issues. Thanks for bringing this up. I never thought of this.

Does anyone know if the No Charge to Charge can be transferred when selling a 2018 LEAF?

Unclear as I don't see it addressed at https://www.ez-charge.com/faq. You'd have to contact them if the answer's not there.

The benefit's only good for the first two years anyway. How old will the car be when you sell?

Anyone know how the NCTC program activation/start date is determined? We are on our second Leaf lease, picked up the latest the beginning of the month. Haven't needed to activate it yet.

Does it start from purchase/lease date or when enrolled/activated or something else? Can't remember from 3 years ago as we enrolled about the same time of the first lease anyway.

The start date is the date the car was first titled. Both of ours had NCTC, and I got the program termination email in both cases two years to the date they were both titled. So, generally speaking it’s the day you purchased it or very close to it.

Mine is useless because the nearest participating charger is a good 7+ hours away from me. i might as well use it for an ice scraper come december.

Got a Leaf and the No Charge to Charge card on 6/30. Went to the EZ-Charge site and signed up no problem. Started adding network and got a couple going, but running into some issues with ChargePoint and Webasto.

At the ChargePoint link it seems like it only allows you to register a new account, but we already have an existing account we'd like linked. Anyone have/resolve this issue before? I submitted a support request, but haven't heard anything back yet.

For Webasto, the link just doesn't work. Goes to what appears to be a dead page. Tried going directly to the evnet.evsolutions.com site and also submitted a support request there, but no response yet either.
