Nissanconnect EV - subscribe to service - not working?

I have recently acquired my Nissan Leaf. I've successfully paired it in my You+Nissan account, and it says my NissanConnect is "active". When I click "connect", it takes me to a page with "service subscriptions" where I can "select" and "subscribe now" to NissanConnect EV. This opens a pop-up where I can "accept terms and conditions" and "continue". At this point I just get taken back to the "service subscriptions" page, with no subscriptions active.

I have tried enabling the service now a number of times but keep ending back in the same place. I do receive a confirmation email from Nissan every time I attempt this, saying "This is to confirm your order details have been received", but the service remains inactive.

I've been trying now for 3 days... is this normal? Or does it take days and days to activate?
