I have noticed in the last week or two, that the reviews have started becoming a bit more positive compared to many of the reviews earlier in the year. Admittedly, beyond the Canada review attached, the others are a bit benign in terms of EV savvy detail, but guessing that is what most of the public reads. The main remaining concern is really just price, as the cost in the UK and India is a bit high compared to the competition. I don't know if Nissan is doing that to manage down volume of sales, or just pricing to where the vehicle is actually profitable (speculation that Hyundai/Kia are losing money on each car produced).

I don't know if the subtle shift is just wider global availability, more time with the car in the field, or what, but the shift has been noticeable in the past 10 days.

Here are a few:

While a bit old, the TFL review, mildly suggesting that the Leaf is on par with efficiency with the Tesla (LR) created quite a bit an rancor on chat boards. I think the Tesla is likely still more efficient on the level, but fun none the less.

The global marketing push is pretty impressive whether you like the car or not.

I think it’s great that they are advertising but the sad thing is they are not available in many markets. 8 month waiting list here. Most just hear that and switch to a competitor. I haven’t seen anything indicating they are increasing production which kind of surprises me as I think they are missing opportunities. Great for Tesls Kia and Hyundai though.

Just sayin.

It looks like supply caught up in the Midwest. I am amazed more aren’t going to Canada. I am curious how many have been shipped to Latam and Asia. They must be launching in at least 20 new markets l, maybe more.

They are the intro car for many countries now. I was looking at Israel’s last night. As I know a bit of Spanish (and German and a flake of Hebrew) it has been fun to see SA many international reviews and toad tests.

I watch a lot of my reviews on YouTube from Europe. I am fluent spanish, reasonably fluent French depending on dialect and functional German. I can be polite in Arabic (hello, my name is, I come from Canada...blah blah blah, but am not in any way shape or form conversational. Great language though. The alphabet is a huge challenge for me and it will be an after retirement challenge to become basic conversational. We love Morroco and intend on some snow birding there. Retirement is a few years away but I’ll keep picking at it till then.

I bought my Leaf last month. One dealership told me the car I wanted was in Texas, good luck getting it up in the Midwest. Another dealership had none and no expectation of receiving any. Then another said the same. Finally I found two on one lot! I bit the bullet and took it home on the spot. I'm in agreement that inventory is spotty but it's around if you hunt for it in the Midwest.

Glad you made the plunge and looking forward to your reviews of the car.

Last time I spoke to our dealer, he said its been a steady flow of sales, though the nation wide sales have been stuck around 1K/month.

It seems like they have plenty of 40 Leaf's but many fewer 62s.
