My spouse reports our on or our charging cord's prongs to be inserted in the outlet/charger is bent (not sure how that could happen without some incident plugging/unplugging, of which we are not aware) and can't be plugged in as a result. Any advice, as I'm sure simply trying to bend it back is not advisable?

I'd say bend it back. If convenient, cut power power to it first, but understand that the EVSE connector protocol is such that there won't be any serious voltage sent to it without it first confirming that it's in contact with an eligible vehicle.

I don't know whether you are talking about the plug that goes into the wall, or the plug that goes into the car, but the answer is the same. Might as well try to bend them back...gently. If that doesn't work, then you aren't any worse off than you are now.
