Hi everyone! I changed jobs and have a much longer commute than prior, so it's time to sell this 2015 Nissan Leaf SV. Overall it has been wonderful and has saved so much on gas and I've always loved the power even at 70+ MPH highway speeds.

What you get:
Silver 2015 Nissan Leaf SV with the light cloth interior bought in April of 2015 in Colorado. ~45,000 miles.
Includes the 360 degree surround view upgrade which is amazing and also includes the factory Bose speaker upgrade which is also great.

This includes the newer battery chemistry also referred to as the "Lizard" battery which greatly increases life in hot climate areas. The battery currently has 11/12 bars. Also has the factory upgraded 6kW L2 charger option but no L3 charger. (Meaning even better battery life)

Overall great condition, single owner, no accidents etc. A few marks on the outside as is likely expected in a 2015 model.

Asking $9400. Car is in the Dallas (DFW), Texas area.

Update: Sold to Carvana back in May 2020 for ~$8500

Thanks

I'm not up-to-date on the Texas market, and I could easily be wrong, but an 11-bar 2015 is probably not going to sell for over $8k particularly without DCFC capability. There's no real evidence that DCFCs really affect the Leaf's battery lifespan - high-temperature exposure and cycle count has shown to matter a whole lot more - but lacking the DCFC makes this car effectively impossible to roadtrip.

You're competing with the batch of slightly older cars available for under $6k that have only slightly worse battery health.

edit: CarGurus is showing some pretty wild estimates for cars like yours, so maybe you're not too far off. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?zip=80303&showNegotiable=true&sourceContext=carGurusHomePageModel&distance=50&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=c24478

Leaf prices are very area dependant. Take for instance my area, which used to be somewhat competitive, is now crazy high!
For comparison:
2015 S missing a bar $11300! https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/d/atlanta-2015-nissan-leaf-hatchback-4d/7075104626.html
2015 S probably missing a bar or two, $10900! https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/d/atlanta-2015-nissan-leaf-hatchback-4d/7076934108.html
2015 SV says it has all bars but probably close to 11- $11,950! https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/d/minnetonka-2015-nissan-leaf-sv-quick/7070426273.html
Not really relevant but I'm guessing people in states that have some sort of EV tax credit(like CO??) and for sure if you can take advantage of the $7500 federal tax credit, $26k for a used '18 SL may be cheaper new! https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/d/minnetonka-2018-nissan-leaf-sl-one/7082457392.html

Keep in mind all the listings still up are cars that haven't sold. The $12k 2015 you're seeing has been up almost since January despite having those 12/12 bars and a QC port.

Very true indeed.
It's just I rarely see Leafs under $10k lately in my market and when I do it's generally a '12 8 bar or less loser, which can be closer to $5k than $10k.
If I were in the market for another Leaf(no thanks I've already got 2 including an 8 bar '12 loser purchased several years back for <$8k when it was a 10 bar loser) I'd seriously look at the OPs Leaf but probably not because it's in TX, probably over a 1000 miles from me.

You may have a valid point but the pricing does seem pretty variable and many were quite a bit higher so I tried my best to make a decent estimate. This does have the Lizard battery pack and has done quite well in my opinion when it comes to battery degradation. I worked where there was a 10 story parking garage and avoided the edges where the sun might hit the car.

I'm open to reasonable offers.

Sold through Carvana for about $8,500. Had another dealer offer to come pick it up for quite a bit lower and wasn't seeing much interest. Overall it's just a bit of a niche car so I think to sell you need to be really patient or active in the selling process.
