If you're a registered Democrat you should take steps immediately with your doctor to have an advance directive added to your medical record that under no circumstances should you be administered hydroxychloroquine, sort of like a DNR.
"The evidence was anecdotal!" would make a nice inscription on your tombstone.
The efficacy of the drug has nothing to do with your political party. The evidence is what it is. The doctors were already aware, and more than capable of evaluating the drug in clinical trials with, or (notably) WITHOUT the Presidential cheerleading. They're more than capable of administering the drug appropriately as the data dictates. If it works, it works, as President Obvious has so brilliantly stated. But in the meantime they're testing and collecting data as they should.
The only thing Trump is trying to accomplish by latching on to this one drug, is self-aggrandizement. If it turns out to be effective he'll sound his barbaric yawps above the rooftops reminding us of what a genius he is, as opposed to all of the "losers" who insisted on a rational stance. If the drug turns out to not be worthwhile, it'll be "oh well, we had to try; at least I wanted to try" -- as if there wasn't already an army of people trying - with or WITHOUT his ignorant ramblings. "...some people would add to it: 'hydroxy'..." Yeah. Our genius.
