White House makes random coronavirus testing mandatory for staff

Didn't someone say to slow down the testing and that if we didn't test, we wouldn't have cases? And, that it's harmless 99% of the time? How about being a hoax?

They may as well stop testing to make the numbers look better at the WH. After all, doing that would "solve" the problem --> "no" new cases.

Stop being logical. The right won't understand that.

Yet another anti-masker and I guess a repeat offender judging by the quip (with the S word) near the end... She also violated the no electronics policy. Sign visible at ~0:34.

Made a trip to the DMV even worse. She didn't even need to be there!

That's just a "mandate", it's not a law.

One of the major national news outlets (either ABC or CBS) talked to one biker who arrived who was on the older side and said he didn't care about COVID-19...

I bet the Sturgis biker rally will be insane this year. It looks like the only large gathering for anything this year besides trump rallies.

New Zealand has recorded four new locally transmitted coronavirus cases, breaking its 102-day streak without a local infection.

All four of the cases were found within one household in South Auckland according to New Zealand’s Director-General of Health Dr. Ashley Bloomfield. He added that none of the new cases had recently travelled outside of New Zealand.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that Auckland, the country’s most populous city, would temporarily be placed under level three pandemic restrictions for three days, beginning at midday on Wednesday.
,,,
She added that the lockdown would allow health officials to conduct urgent contact tracing and assess the situation.
Under the new restrictions businesses including restaurants, bars and non-essential shops will close. People will only be allowed to leave their homes to conduct essential activities such as picking up supplies from grocery stores. Gatherings over 10 people will also be restricted and schools will be closed for three days.

Outside Auckland, the rest of New Zealand will go into level two restrictions.
NZ's population is almost 5 million people. In comparison, my county of about 2 million tends to report 100ish to 200ish new cases a day.

As of this morning, the number of positive cases at the school had increased to a total of 14, with tests for another 15 students pending; and, as a result of the confirmed cases, 294 students and staff are under quarantine and, should the pending tests prove positive, that total would increase dramatically.

Etowah was one of the high schools last week where photographs went viral after dozens of students crammed together in front of the building without masks to celebrate their first day of school.
