More significant symptoms presented that evening. “I developed a low-grade fever and had chills,” he said. “That evening was rough.”

A long time ago, I did a months-long course of alpha interferon. The guy above now barely knows what a small taste of that is like. I'm not worried about flu-like symptoms.

Crap. My housemate has food and contact allergies.
And not much guidance as to what constitutes a "significant" allergic reaction. It will be an agonising decision, I think. I'm sorry your housemate will be facing that.

There will be other vaccines out soon enough. Hopefully one of those won't trigger allergic reactions nearly as much. And not need -70°C storage.

Could be even more problematic in the 2nd dose. Reaction to a subsequent exposure to an antigen can be more severe than the first encounter.

Local hospital won't give the trump virus shot to anyone with a positive trumpvirus test with in the last 3 months or a positive trumpvirus antibody test.
Not sure on the time limit for the positive trumpvirus antibody test. The email from the hospital I saw was unusually vague and ambitious.

I'm going to sell blood.
If you have trumpvirus antibodies you can get paid up to $600.
I told my wife if she can find a place that will pay half that I'm in.
My blood cures people, kind of like khan.

Last time I donated blood they told me I was anti-body positive although a 15 minute pin-prick test at my local pharmacy came back negative. I'll get another test after 12/24 since that is the earliest I can donate again.

My case was so bad I didn't even know I had it. I was stuffed up so couldn't smell anything, there was a day or 2 what little i ate had a weird or no taste.
Trumpvirus is like trump. Everyone thinks it's the end of the world, but ultimately underperformed by a lot.

I just looked up my profile to see if I was eligible to give blood again yet and it showed that the supplemental test for anti-bodies came back negative. So it appears the first result was a false positive and I'm not anti-body positive. :D

Hope this hasn't been posted elsewhere already but I skimmed the PDF at https://beta.healthdata.gov/National/COVID-19-Community-Profile-Report/gqxm-d9w9. Was interesting.

As I posted on Nov 29th in another forum:

I was able to order a box of https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/9873715/BYD-Care-N95-Respirator-Masks-Adult/ last night for $49. Unclear if my order will get canceled. Hand sanitizer, masks & more says "Prioritized for Healthcare workers and first responders" whereas the listing says it's reserved for them.

They (model DE2322) are at the bottom of https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/topics/respirators/disp_part/n95list1-b.html. I can only see part of https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinese-electric-car-maker-gets-u-s-approval-to-supply-n95-masks-11591681966 due to a paywall. I was well aware of BYD and Warren Buffett's investment in them before COVID-19.
-- end --

I did receive them and each mask is individually in a sealed packet. I split up the box of 20 masks between myself and my parents.

They're back in stock at https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/9873715/BYD-Care-N95-Respirator-Masks-Adult/ right now for $49.99. I've seen them go in and out of stock and the price varying. I think I saw them at $69.99 at one point and another time, they were back up to $109.99, I think.

All the mask stuff, lock downs, shutdowns don't apply to us post trumpvirus humans. Have fun with that.

I went and got another type of antibody test, yep says I have them.

Sigh... this church and people like these are likely partially responsible for our low ICU capacity. I'd heard about them in the news before, having had to go to court recently.

San Jose church continues to defy health orders, holds indoor Christmas Eve mass

More than one worshipper said it was a full house. The church can hold more than 500 people. Some people traveled far to attend and some of them chose not to wear masks.

Churchgoer Kevin McMahon said he’s willing to risk getting sick for his faith.

"I need the human connection," said McMahon. "I need the singing, we hug, we are not afraid."

Some worshippers were seen without face coverings. The parking lot was packed. The celebration lasted 90 minutes.

"I do not fear the virus," said Churchgoer Albert Benavides. "I respect the virus. I know that it's real. I don’t think it's a hoax but I know myself. I know I’m healthy."

Calvary Chapel San Jose has been at odds with Santa Clara County for months for repeatedly violating health directives. County officials said, the church has been fined $1.2 million.
Indoors? Some w/no masks? Singing? That's a superspreader event right there. :(

Life on the other of trump virus is nice.
The way I see it you got 3 choices.
Get trumpvirus.
Get your shot of trumpjuice.
Or be a holdout. The holdouts are the problem.

It's not clear how long immunity lasts. There have been documented cases of reinfection.

CNN Headline News mentioned an ICU nurse that they met in June who herself was hospitalized in June with COVID-19. She recovered but they say she caught it again but they didn't say when.
