Thankfully, no. "likes" and "dislikes" are a cancer of social media. You're free to approve or disapprove of posts as suits your conscience and others are free to do the same without influence from the Hive Mind. If you find a particular poster to be unbearable, you can add them to your personal "foes" list so you don't have to read their posts.

On the other hand.....sites like Stack Overflow operate by users voting posts up or down. Eventually, the best answers to questions rise to the top while poor answers are shown to be faulty. Also, on some other forums I (and others) use like to do a +1 without having to add another post to a thread.

I find being able to add Emoji to a post adds to the Social Interaction on a site. And being social is what forums are all about.

There are some wonderful sites I rarely use, simply because I get no feedback, and thus feel no one is even reading my posts.

I also like being able to thank those who help me, without creating another post and growing the thread with "like" posts that really add no content.

Are you not able to add emoji's? I know I can't on specific threads, for sale threads for sure but I can in most other threads.

It's possible to link the images in a post - you can use those as the url source. What I'm not seeing is KB combinations for them. Anyone know them?
