Is there a cheaper way to a Tesla EVSE to J1772 type adapter like the Tesla Tap? One of the family got a Tesla at Christmas and we visited for the first time yesterday with our Volt, but their EVSE is hard-wired.
Worse yet, the way I WAS charging at their home was via spare space in their breaker panel, which is now all gone between dual breakers for both their EVSE and new PV install!
RoI would take quite some time on a $150 unit we'd use 2-3 times a year, saving about $3-4 each time on gas.
