What are the make years of Leafs likely to be on their second battery pack
that are replaced by dealers under warranty?

I have seen numerous 2011-2012 on their second battery pack.
I have seen it in 2013s too.

Do you think there are 2014 and onward Leafs on their second battery pack?

Yes, there are some on '14.

There aren't many '15s in that boat. https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=24532&p=545757&hilit=Relayer1956#p545757 who is no longer here for some reason hit 4 bar loss on his lizard pack.

Some 30 kWh Leafs ('16 SV and SL, '16 "S 30" and all '17) hit 4 bar loss and got their packs replaced unnecessarily before https://insideevs.com/news/338528/update-nissan-has-software-fix-for-2016-17-leaf-30-kwh-battery-reporting-issues/ came out. However, since then, some 30 kWh packs still have lost 4 bars after update was applied.

You mean the build years, or generations? Yes, there are many Gen I 2011 & 2012 Leafs on their second packs. North American 2013 Leafs made through March of 2013 are also prone to accelerated degradation, so include them with the first group. From April of 2013 through all of 2014, Nissan made a much improved pack that takes much longer to degrade, except in very hot climates. In 2015 that battery was improved again, and things were looking good for Nissan Leaf batteries - until the 30kwh battery of 2016 & 2017 appeared...

Cwerdna got his post in ahead of mine. 2014 Leafs in hot climates like AZ and FL likely make up the bulk of post 2013 pack replacements - again, until the 30kwh "Lettuce" pack.

Are those 2016-2017's 30kWh "Lettuce" pack worse than
2015-2016's 24kWh "Lizard" pack?

Is it safe to say that 2015-2016's 24kWh "Lizard" packs
are the best for Gen 1 Leaf?

Yes to both if you are only talking about degradation, but purchase is a different matter because pack size differs and warranty differs.

Yes, definitely. As Sagebrush hints, the warranty replacement with a 40kwh pack can make the 30KWH cars a good investment, precisely because they often degrade so fast, but the 4/2013-2014 "Wolf" and 2015-2016 "Lizard" packs are both far better than the Lettuce and 2011-2012 "Canary" versions. The Lizard pack was the best made before the current 40KWH and 62KWH packs.

I was more pointing to these differences:
A ~ 70% degraded '30 kWh LEAF' is about the same range as a 90% SOH '24 kWh LEAF'
An 8 year/100k miles warranty is a lot more valuable than 5 year/60k

And yes, your point should also be considered. Altogether, that is a fair amount of difference for people to digest, along with the car price and their use case.
