New rules for posting Advertisements, Deals, For Sale/Wanted

We will soon have a new "Classified" section for everyone to post Wanted / For Sale items.

- For individuals (private parties), any Forum Supporter can post wanted and for sale items. The items of course have to be legal and something relevant to this forum. These are one-off items, vehicle parts etc.
If you are not a Forum Supporter yet, you can become one by making a small payment to the forum.
*If you are producing items/products or making a profit (if you should be claiming income tax from these items) than you need to post in the Businesses section.

- Businesses and Vendors: Only forum vendors will be allowed to post. This includes wanted (Leafs !) & for sale items. This includes dealerships who want to advertise their Leaf deals and products. To become a vendors of this website, contact the administrator as given in this page sponsor.php.

Businesses / Products / Offers for Sale
Posting of products, sale offers, discount codes, promotions, new product releases or purchasing information in general is strictly limited to the Business Ads, Deals, Sales, and Want To Buy section. Any posts of this sort found elsewhere on the forum will be deleted. We reserve the right to ban/delete/edit the posts and the user accounts that are found in violation of these terms.
This does not apply to posts offering support for products or services your company offers. When in doubt, contact us first.

Don't know ! Our fearleass owner/admin will decide on that.

I see no problem in mentioning specific cars (as long as they are Plug-Ins) as well.

Yes, they can.

I think anything legal & relevent to this forum would be welcome. Eg. would be
- $1,000 off MSRP on Leafs (and other Plug-Ins)
- Orphaned Leaf (and other Plug-Ins)
- Accessories for Leaf (including things like Kill-a-watt or TED)
- EVSEs
- PV deals
- Services like leasing or financing
- Selling your old car (private sales)

This also opens up the possibility of group buys & special discounts for forum members.

Sounds reasonable, but -- if we have too many nonintuitive rules on here it's going to get awfully burdensome to the mods and to the poor posters who have to live in constant fear not knowing when they might accidentally break some obscure rule. Ok, maybe we're not quite there yet - but I do worry about it... (Let's keep it simple, ok?)

3. No hawking of goods outside of the classifieds sections. Technical discussion of products should happen outside of the classifieds section.

May I suggest splitting up the classifieds section into a private and vendor area... this has worked well on other forums I've been a part of.

Yes I would like to see a Vendor Area aside from the Classified.. WE have lots of Deals to offer our Fellow EVrs but don't want to step on any toes.. IF you set up a Pure Vendor Area we can use that to post Coupon codes and specials just for the Leaf Forum members etc...
