Since there didn't seem to be one, I'll start one. Discuss ChargePoint public, shared housing, workplace, etc. infrastructure here.

I saw these in Marina, CA at https://www.plugshare.com/location/251802 before they went online. I'd used an EVgo DC FC nearby at it was part of https://drivethearc.com/ and free for me, back then. For sure, the DC FCs and L2's weren't working back but it seems they went online sometime between August and October 2020.

For the DC FCs, it looks like there are 4 dual-standard DC FCs. I wonder how heavily they'll be used given their pricing?

When I used the EVgo units, both DC FCs and the single J1772 EVSE were idle when I arrived. And, keep in mind that at the time, the two DC FCs were free 24x7 as long as you used the DrivetheARC app to start. Now, there are variable discounts from 0 to 100% in 25% increments.

A DCFC complex is under construction in Montrose CO, three blocks from the intersection of US 50 (Grand Junction, Montrose, Gunnison, Monarch Pass, Salida, Cañon City, Pueblo/Colorado Springs) and US 550 (Montrose, Ridgway, Ouray, Red Mountain Pass, Silverton, Durango, Farmington, Albuquerque). The site is located at N 1st Street and Uncompahgre Avenue and will have eight Tesla Superchargers and two ChargePoint DCFC stalls; it is being built with the enthusiastic support of the City of Montrose and DMEA, the local electric co-op.

The Chargepoint equipment has been installed:

^ The two ChargePoint stalls on 7 November 2020. No idea when they will be ready to use.

Each of the two ChargePoint towers has both CCS and Chademo cords. According to Plugshare, ChargePoint DCFC stations in my general area (Four Corners) have quite variable charging costs, ranging from really expensive, due to a stiff time fee, to quite reasonable, when charging for kWh only. What the fee will be for this station is unclear to me.

This is another fast charging node in a good location for road trips. Montrose is also the gateway city for Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Some more information about this site from another thread:

...This site is part of the Colorado Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridors: https://energyoffice.colorado.gov/zero-emission-vehicles/electric-vehicle-fast-charging-corridors:

which totals 34 sites, and there should be a dedicated topic for it. CP won the award for all of them...

One of the two stalls in Montrose CO is on. The other is "Unavailable," perhaps because the shipping crates block access to the front side of the pedestal. The stalls "share" 125 kW so I presume that they are the usual 62.5 kW each. The rate is a stiff 20¢/kWh plus 25¢/min, an increasingly common rate in Colorado.

^ Stall 2 on the left is "Available." This DCFC station is a joint project of the State of Colorado and DMEA (Delta-Montrose Electric Association), the local power co-op.

^ The shipping crates block easy access to the front of one stall.

The Chargepoint DCFC Station in Rifle CO has opened. Four stalls at a reasonable 27¢/min, with a $5/hr idle fee after a grace period of 30 minutes. I wish more of them would use this fee structure.

Reading through news I found this,

If this is true, it would be great news:

“Going forward, unless there is a limit to the power we can access at a particular location, all our new chargers will have 150 to 350 kilowatt capacity,” Pat Romano, CEO of ChargePoint, one of the world’s largest providers of chargers, told NBC News."

Does CP even make a 200+ kW charger ?
I'll have to ask, going forward .... from when ?

Addendum:
Apparently so, and up to 500 kW based on
https://www.chargepoint.com/products/commercial/express-plus/
I presume that is 500 Amps * 1000 Volts

The Rifle DCFC pricing has apparently changed to the common, and very high, 25¢/kWh plus 20¢/minute "parking fee."

By contrast, the pricing at the Montrose, CO DCFC station has been lowered to a reasonable 30¢/kWh with no parking charge, plus an idle fee of $24/hour (40¢/minute) after a grace period of ten minutes. This is roughly the same as the pricing of the adjacent Tesla Superchargers.

Can confirm on Rifle, used it as EA CHAdeMO was down.

I also took pictures and posted to plugshare of Durango which is getting ready to come online.

Dinosaur lowered their price I understand, I will be using Dinosaur this weekend.

Two dual-standard ChargePoint DC FC stations at the below aren't on Plugshare yet.

CHEVRON STATION 1793 #1 and #2
873 Blossom Hill Rd
San Jose, CA

Pricing is pretty high at 35 cents/kWh + 10 cents/minute.

I came across https://www.plugshare.com/location/87564. Looks like some L2 ChargePoint stations have been removed there.

They were CT-2x00 series and we ran into supposedly not being able to get parts for them at my work. So, our few CT-2000/2100 series units were replaced with CT-4000 series.

I've charged in that area before (https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1082327_how-to-do-electric-car-chargers-right-new-target-store-in-ca), specifically at Target mainly. The Target stations (sometimes in disrepair) were 2 hours free then charged $ after that. The ones off to the side were only 1 hour free then cost $ afterward.

Perhaps the site owner was tired of not collecting much $ and paying for ChargePoint subscription fees and repairs? And yes, some Volta stations had been installed there over the years. I haven't been up there for awhile to see the situation now.

I've seen some pics on Plugshare and also encountered one myself w/a screen up like at https://www.plugshare.com/location/13778 saying that support for the station's 3G modem will end Dec 2021, that the station will be removed from the Chargepoint network, etc.

Don't be surprised if ChargePoint public or workplace stations hit this and have impaired or no useful functionality...

I saw a message about a modem upgrade needed at our local private ChargePoint stations at work. The odd thing is....they are almost brand new since both stations were getting flaky and were replaced. Is it possible that the entire outside piece of equipment was replaced but the cellular modem was not? Very odd.

I'd hate to lose the connection since they are often full and I like to check on availability and how much charge I've received when plugged in from my desk at work.

I asked about a CP supposed site in McFarland, CA that wasn't on Plugshare yet (https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/installation-ongoing-costs-for-public-l2-dc-fc-stations.39742/#post-688466) and it seems today, a Bolt driver may have added it. ABRP had been suggesting it...

W00t! If it remains free, I might be using it if my So Cal Niro EV lease goes through I have to drive it up to the Bay Area.

I used both DC FCs at that site over the weekend. I got an unexpected stop and error shown on the charger at 48% SoC. I restarted it and it continued w/o incident. I saw a max of 60 kW there on my Niro EV. Love the free juice.

Both DC FCs were dual standard "62.5 kW" units.

After almost a year of no activity, construction finally resumed on the Chargepoint DCFC station at the Ouray, Colorado, Hot Springs Pool complex. Two of the stalls are complete and the other two appear to have been left for future expansion.

^ Only one of the two appears active, for now.

^ The pads for future expansion.

^ The cost is 45¢/min plus a $1.99 "Session fee."

[Edited to correct cost.]
