That's a good find there, i was interested to hear his side of the story, and i'm really glad that he was able to escape from the corrupt Japanese prosecution.

His fiasco reminds me of corrupt Dick Chaney's torture and waterboarding program in Guantanamo and even to this day holding folks uncharged for 20 years, and corrupt Trump coercing Canada to grab the Huawei executive on her way home on BS charges. With all kinds of stuff like that it's hard to tell who is supposed to be the good guys anymore.

So guess its now up to us to determine whether anyone was guilty of more than the normal "executive" privilege?

In a nutshell, the only thing that is obvious is that Nissan was hurt by this and wasted a lot of time.

Carlos Ghosn says he would face fair trial in France, suggests timing of arrest warrant ‘suspicious’
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/22/carlos-ghosn-says-he-expects-fair-trial-in-france-following-arrest-warrant.html
Fugitive former car executive Carlos Ghosn has said he expects to receive a “fair trial” in France after being issued an arrest warrant.

Speaking to CNBC Friday, Ghosn said he trusted the French justice system to treat him correctly in a clear criticism against Japan.

French authorities on Thursday issued an international arrest warrant for the former Renault-Nissan executive who famously skipped bail in Japan and fled to Lebanon in a box.

Earlier, I stumbled across https://hbr.org/podcast/2021/06/the-rise-and-fall-of-carlos-ghosn-part-1

There are 4 parts. I finished part 1 already. I used Overcast to DL all 4 parts from https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hbr-ideacast/id152022135.

I finished it last night. They talked to numerous folks including https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Schweitzer_(businessman), Andy Palmer, Hiroto Saikawa and Ghosn, separately. Was interesting.

I hadn't known that there was the expectation that Ghosn would become Renault CEO then shortly after, step down from Nissan as CEO instead of being CEO of both.

Thanks for posting! I found all 4 of them via the iTunes Podcast app.
I'm very interested in Ghosn and how Nissan lost their EV leadership; I firmly believe there would have been no Leaf (at least not in 2011) without Ghosn.

I started and finished it over several sittings today. I liked it.

In prior interviews, Ghosn wouldn't discuss how he got out. So, I was surprised that he finally did in an interview to someone else that they included.

I watched the (multi-part) documentary on Ghosn on AppleTV+. It was an eye-opener...on both sides. Definitely worth watching if you are interested/followed his career.
