I want to change the high/low beam light bulb for my 2018 leaf, but there is no removable dust cover like below video.

Can I do it myself to change the light bulbs? Why Nissan design and install a headlights like this at my leaf?

If it is like my 2019 SL Plus, both high beam and low beam lights are LED so there are no headlight bulbs to change.

Is there a method to open it and change the bulb? My headlights got some water moisture damage in it, all the lights are not working now.

I will check the fuse box first, the high beam and low beam were not unfunctional at the same time.

I changed a related fuse to a new one, it blow again at once, the headlight has to be changed as whole which will cost 3000 CAD.

No chance to replace the lightbulb, terrible design by nissan,

Anyway to retrofit it to the $10 halogen bulbs? I'd be more inclined to go that route rather than pay $3k! You'd probably have to replace the whole housing but I'd still think it would be way cheaper than a replacement LED unit.

The headlight assembly is integrated one, I think there is no chance to change the housing. I read the manual page 533, there are 2 type of headlight assembly, type A can change the light bulb which is halogen I think, type B is integrated one which is mine and using LED.

I checked the DTRL fuse also, it is fine, but related DTRL light is not working, Basically 3 LEDs are not working in this assembly side . I cannot find the high beam light fuse.

I do not know when can I buy a new one at a cheaper price, whether above one is usable for me.

Why is 2018 leaf headlight so expensive? Other model new one are just 500 to 1500 dollars.

Can I change this one ? I just need to buy 2 separated light bulbs, right?

I got the same issue. My DRL doesn't work and talked to Nissan, a dealer in Richmond, B.C., see below
I am thinking to disassemble the headlight and install the following inside the headlight unit to replace DRL
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005511102219.html

=============
On your Leaf, the DRL is LED which is part of the whole headlamp assembly which are also LED for low and high beam.
Unfortunately, the LED DRL is not a serviceable item and will require a whole headlamp assembly to be replaced if the DRL has stopped working.

Left side (driver’s side) headlamp: $3180.32
Right side (passenger’s side) headlamp: $3180.32
Prices are for just the headlamp assembly.
ETA for both would be 2 business days to arrive from warehouse
