Thanks to everyone for the advice. It will come in handy in the summer of 2012. For the person who asked where in Canada we go, the town is called Cheticamp. It is in Cape Breton, the most northern part of Nova Scotia. Lovely place but we are probably not going to tow the Leaf up there for a variety of reasons.

The battery temperature and SOC is very important to self discharge and degradation during storage. Personally I don't think I would keep the battery charged to 80% if the car is stored for 10 weeks. A lower SOC is better for the battery life.
