Check out this link for range issues. I hope that the Level 3 charging stations can be found all over the California & Arizona area here real soon.

The area between about 710 and the coast is mostly in the LA EVProject area, right?

So, there should be a good sprinkling of QC stations "to the West". However, going north up 1-5 to LA area QCs might be sparce, and going inland could be a no-QC "desert".

It would be nice to see some maps of intended QC locations.

And are there maps of operating QCs

In my EV Charger Finder app, I have Portland World Trade Center, Vacaville, and Lithia Nissan of Fresno (unconfirmed but from a report on this forum) listed as public L3 charging. I will add the UK one from this thread also.

Electric.Carstations.com lists 5 in US and a bunch in the UK. I am not sure if these are all confirmed.

I do not know of any other public L3 rolled out yet. Chargepoint hasn't listed any. Please report any you are aware of either on the forum or through PM or the Add Station link on electric.carstations.com.

[EDIT: Double checked on Lithia Fresno. They do not have Level 3 charging. Just L2. ]

How about this--a Level 3 "Supercharger" that can give you a 50% charge in 3 minutes?

Deployment by mid-late 2012 sounds pretty fanciful, considering the company is still working on it's first station in the UK, I think, but this is the kind of infrastructure that could be the "filling stations" of the future for EVs.
