ps : There was some talk the project was in jeopardy when cities on the west coast started passing resolutions banning any contracts for AZ based companies following Arizona's controversial immigration law. So much so, Ecotality actually issued a statement saying the projects were not in jeopardy as the contracts had already been signed.
I don't know whether this move has anything to do with that problem, though.

The decision is based primarily on business reasons, she said. But when asked if politics played a role, she responded, "How could it not." Everyone, including ECOtality has taken note of what's going on in Arizona, she said.
