I'm trying to source a Leaf Charger in Canada and am finding it a bit challenging.

Costco.ca doesn't seem to have them anymore :(

The only other one I found was in Quebec:

http://energierenouvelable.ca/produits/en/electric-cars/charging-stations/elmec/elmec-evduty-240v-30-amps-5-portable-electric-vehicle-charging-station-with-25-feet-cable-p812c101c103/

But I've never heard of the brand.

Does anyone have recommendations as to where I can purchase one in store (BC Lower Mainland) or online in Canada?

Thanks!!

home depot doesn't have them now either- no matter, they would have been over priced.

try this, they are high quality re-branded clipper creek
https://suncountryhighway.com/en/item/chargerstore

failing that, if you think you EVER might want to L2 charge on the road, ie RV park or road trip consider a more compact portable L2 EVSE such as open EVSE

Thanks to all who responded.

The EV40P was $979 at Costco but they were out of stock. Sun Country Highway wanted $1019, plus $80 shipping plus taxes.

Costco would have been 979 x 1.12 = $1096 total (Free shipping)

Sun Country was $1019 + $80 (shipping) x 1.12 (taxes) = $1,230.00

I contacted Sun Country to ask if they could give better pricing given the Costco price, but they wouldn't budge.

Clipper Creek is $589 USD ($785CDN) but they only ship UPS.

Canadians get so ripped off sometimes.

Can't you purchase off Amazon? They have many EVSEs starting at $299(USD) and 30a models starting at $399(USD) for the GE Durastation.

List of available evse sold in Canada including electrical wholesalers who supply them : http://pluginbc.ca/charging-program/murb/manuf_list/
Check if municipal rebates in your area, even Nanaimo has one : http://www.rdn.bc.ca/cms.asp?wpID=2420
I purchased the Eaton EVSEL230HNAW when there was a BC rebate of $500 in '13 from Home depot online $949 at that time( I think all they sell now is the Schnieder EV230WS at $799) .
There are several of those Eaton units around this area and are of solid construction in and out also come with 24ft cord.

I ended up ordering a HCS-40P from Clipper Creek (US), and I was pleasantly surprised when UPS delivered it from the US to Canada with no surprises (although I had it shipped Worldwide Expedited).

The totals from Clipper Creek was $589 USD, $118 USD UPS shipping (worldwide expedited), and paying $102 CDN (GST/PST tax) when UPS came to my door, the total was only $1059 CDN.

The identical (Rebranded) charger at Costco (although out of stock) would have been just under $40 CDN more ($1096 CDN) with taxes, shipping included.

Sun Country's price in Canada for the same rebranded charger was almost $180 more (rip off).

I was impressed with Clipper Creek when I called and did the order, and the shipping was only 4 days .

Thank you Clipper Creek!

(I'm still annoyed with Sun Country in Canada for not putting any efforts into being competitive).

FLO (formerly VERnetwork) just announced their X5 EVSE https://flo.ca/at-home/single-family/x5
will be discounted $500 from participating Nissan dealers with a purchase of a new Leaf between Jan 20 to March 21 .

Notice the new " Recommended by Nissan" logo . Apparently they formed a partnership with Nissan Canada.
Yet to be confirmed at the local dealership, but this a huge saving. Specs are further down the page.

I wouldn't mind replacing mine with a "smart" charger that you can view data via your mobile. I like that. Too bad there's no discount if you didn't buy a nissan :(

I bought my L2 charger used on eBay. Someone thought he'd use a hard-wired one, and one with RV-park compatible plug for travelling. Found he didn't do the travelling & wanted to sell it.
I wonder if eMotorWerks sells their JuiceBox with shipping to Canada.

Just checked: Costco has Sun Country EV40P for $849 CND. I have ordered a 2018 Leaf
and am awaiting delivery. I want to know more about the charge cord that comes with
the new Leaf before ordering a Level 2 charger. It would me nice if FLO repeated their
offer of last year. FLO chargers are the most expensive on the market, I believe because
Ontario and Quebec offer incentives so they raise their prices for an extra profit. That bugs
me .

Does your '18 come with a L2 EVSE? The standard Leaf does not but comes with the top trim level or may come with select packages.

At this point unsure. The American ones do not for sure, but apparently Canadian spec ones
have the level 1/2 as standard on all trims. Mine will be the mid trim SL. I have been trying to
get specs on this charger, but none of the preliminary reviews do anything but mention it. I am
not certain at this point what plug it takes. Some say a dryer plug it it looks to be a 14-50 range
or RV plug. If that is so than it might be all that I need as that implies 30 amp charging.

I have a call into Nissan Canada about this but no reply yet. Will post as soon as I know anything

Costco US has the Siemans Versicharge Lvl 2 charger reduced until Sept 2nd to $390 US.

If you have a friend in a border state, order it for delivery there and then pick it up.

For future reference, these EVDuty stations developed a good reputation here in Ontario and Quebec, and they're Made in Canada (Canada First! LOL) + free shipping.
