New trailer was dropped today. Shows a lot.

10 Things We Learned at the Star Trek Universe Panel

I'm a little confused about viewing options. I see it's on CBS all access (pay) but also on Amazon Prime (free for Prime members) ?

IIRC, it’s on CBS All Access for the US. It’s on Amazon Prime for most of the rest of the world.

edit: https://www.startrek.com/news/stewart-picard-amazon-prime confirms what I recalled.

Cool stuff on display and was cool to have some of the actors show up.

I'm not going to get CBS AA back just to watch Picard. I'll get it for two months next Spring to watch STD again, and Picard, when they have ended.

^^^
https://www.cbs.com/shows/star-trek-picard/ says early 2020.

It's also in the trailer in the OP. Did you watch that? If not, you should. :)

I’m about halfway thru watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONi3X-d8mvc. I always worry about videos like this getting taken down as I’m not clear if they have authorization. Creation Ent (they ran this convention and most of the Star Trek "cons") in their handouts specifically say you’re not allowed to record video. They themselves can and do, of course.

I didn't realize until they mentioned it that there were two Jonathans on stage together.

^^^
Bummer, I think I forgot about watching the rest of the above.

Anyway, there's a new trailer today. Wow!

The end of the trailer says Jan 23.

To hell with that. Looks like a fabulous show but I'm not about to get squeezed just because I'm in the US.

My reaction is the same. What I do, though, is wait for Spring when the last eps of these shows are airing, then get CBS AA for one or two months - with the first one free. I watch them all in 8 weeks then wait another year. You can get CBS AA through prime Video.

Seems like a reasonable option.

New Star Trek: Picard Trailer Brings Back the Enterprise-D
https://comicbook.com/startrek/2020/01/19/star-trek-picard-trailer-enterprise-d/

Title's a bit click-baity and it's only at the beginning.

"it looks like for new or prior users, you can use the JANUARY code to get a free month, then if you cancel you get half off... ends 1/27. So it looks like you can get three months for the price of one....."

If you're a new subscriber, may as well give it a shot.

I'm a returning user and I got that code via email but mine said " Offer open to returning subscribers and is not transferable..."

You have a week to watch the Star Trek: Picard premiere for free

If you wanted to catch up on the adventures of Jean-Luc Picard but don’t know if you want to shell out $5.99 a month for CBS All Access, fret not. For about a week — that is, until Wednesday, Feb. 5 — the first episode of Star Trek: Picard is free to watch on the CBS website.

Even better, the first episode is free on youtube for the same period. Watch it right here from this thread:

Offer is valid through 2/28/20. At end of the one month trial, your card will automatically be charged for your first monthly subscription period unless you cancel prior to the end of the free month.
No idea if it works since I'm still within my 1 month free for returning subscribers.

I used that code as a returning subscriber early in the morning of 1/27.

Since I am about to need to pay soon if I don't cancel, I planned to cancel then wait for a few Picard eps to build up and resubscribe. When I clicked cancel, I was offered 50% off for the next 2 months (I'd earlier selected the $9.99/mo commercial free plan), so I went with that.

New Photos from STAR TREK: PICARD Episode 7 “Nepenthe”
https://treknews.net/2020/03/02/star-trek-picard-107-nepenthe-preview/ -- don't read if you haven't seen any of ep 6 yet. The pics definitely have spoilers as to what'll be in ep 7.
