Nailed it! ;)

It will be interesting to see if I was right about them adding a Base FWD version, to replace the Leaf. I'm not predicting it, mind you, and I have no knowledge of it happening - I'm no longer involved with Nissan - but I'm guessing that it will happen at some point, maybe next year...

A potential Tesla MY competitor, right? I'm sure Elon is very concerned. Kinda like what the Infiniti was to the Lexus? :D

I hope this launch will let them bring down Leaf Prices to make it a little more competitive and reduce the discounts on the car. If base Leaf started at $24,900 and Leaf Plus at $29,900 they would pick up many more buyers.

If he doesn't correct his post I'll fix the title, at least, later.

Nissan Aryia to be announced for the JDM July 15, 2020

For now, the vehicle will only be offered as AWD, and Nissan has indicated that the LEAF will continue in the product line.

Re: Nissan Ariya to be announced for the JDM July 15, 2020

Well I personally don't like the looks of it, too much like a bubble, kind of like the early Nissan Marano? which I often heard referred to as a jelly bean car.Besides it looks like it must have a super tiny trunk area, I mean look how short the area is behind the rear doors!
BTW the link in the OP doesn't work for me........well it says I have to disable my ABP to see anything.....no thanks!

Nissan recently released a list - with photos - of the 12 cars they will continue to produce. The Ariya was on that list, and the Leaf wasn't. How sure are you of your source?

^^^
They did?

I was thinking of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiqOLRJi7nU. Leaf isn't in that one.
