Just ordered 2023 leaf with 60kw battery. Manual says car must be plugged in for the battery warmer to operate. Unlike the 40kw that can use the battery as long as the charge is greater than 15%
Is this accurate or not. It doesn't make sense to me
Through '22 we were told that there is no battery warmer in the 62kwh Leaf.
Brilliant Silver 2021 Leaf SV40 W/ Pro Pilot & Protection

PLEASE don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.
Looks like the OP's in Canada and in the past, sometimes the standard/optional equipment by trim level differed on Canadian Leafs vs. US ones, despite using the same marketing letters.

Thanks, I have ordered through Nissan Canada. Battery offered here is rated at 60 not 62 KWh. Big concern after watching several YouTube reviews have some conflicting info. Temperature here can reach -30C for a few weeks. If a warmer is not included like my 2018 leaf has, id consider cancelation of the order.
I haven't seen any particular confirmation as to why 60 vs. 62 before. Did they change how they rate it? Did they reduce the amount that's user accessible? Did they actually reduce the pack's gross capacity?

I would ignore this. A manual for a car not yet/barely on the streets WILL BE filled with errors. That is how the industry works.
The other thing is the battery warmer is a low cost item protecting a VERY high cost item but at the same time, the majority of LEAFs on the road have probably never used theirs. So it "could" be true in some regions, COMPLETELY false in others.

Yep, for some reason they have reduced the capacity a bit... Wondering if that means a reconfig of the 40 kwh? Mathwise, it makes sense.
As far as no battery warmer? Sorry but there is NOTHING mentioned here that convinces me that there is no warmer.
Equating missing information as confirmation that the item does not exist is simply not in my wheelhouse. Sure, Nissan does a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense but this one is well beyond that.
Unless they lied about it, Nissan DID ship 62kwh US Leafs with no battery warmer. There is a whole discussion of that here. The question now is whether or not they included/include one for Canadian Leafs.

I checked with my LEAF tech and he says mine does based on a VIN search. He is checking to see if that changed in later MY's.
Ok link to 2022 Plus service manual with insulated battery cover which is the warmer per tech.
As far as I can tell it's just an insulated cover. You didn't see the topic in which someone posted an excerpt from the manual saying that the 62kwh pack has no battery warmer? We then speculated on whether it was a software device that produced a modest drain on the pack, to warm it...?
