It would have to be a 30kWh pack since the 24kWh packs only came with a 5 year warranty.
For 24 kwh battery: 5 year/60,000 miles on the capacity, 8 year/100,000 miles on "defects in materials or workmanship". Could have been either a 30 kwh capacity loss, 30 kwh defect, or 24 kwh defect. If the pack is just worn out, then Nissan would have to install a new pack--which they may be short on. If the pack has a bad cell, they could of course choose to fix it.
Mitral, I feel your pain. My experience with our local dealers on a similar issue was abysmal. Nice people to speak with, but I came away feeling expertly gas lighted. What i have learned on this forum is there is a well-populated bell curve of Nissan EV services ranging from white glove all the way to, yeah, that. If you have the option, try some more dealerships.
