Seat Belt Extenders for Kids Booster Seats

These are readily available on Amazon.com. I have one for my 2011 leaf. It is rigid and similar to the picture you posted but a bit longer. Maybe 3-5" which brings it up to a nice height for booster seats. I recently bought another for my Tesla and it worked fine as well.

Poll : How will you power your LEAF ?

LOL, I paid with check too but didn't want to add that to the conversation for fear of causing another brain cramp for anyone.

Poll : How will you power your LEAF ?

I saved money in the bank to buy my Leaf. Later when I went to the bank to withdrawal the money it wasn't the same exact bills that I put into the bank. Does that mean I didn't buy the Leaf with my money???

If you thought Nissan only did EVs well, watch this!

AWD has a big advantage when starting from dead stop. The GTR's also has a launch program the minimizes slip at full throttle. Several of the other cars comes in AWD versions but I'm wondering if they were used. The GTR only comes in AWD. The GTR built up its lead at the very start and the...

    SDG&E Net Metering and EV-TOU-2

Hi everyone, I'm debating about signing up for the EV-TOU-2 program where I can be metered on a time of use basis using a single meter. I couldn't find information about whether or not this would remove me from net metering for my PV system which obviously I would not want to do. Anyone in the...

SDG&E asks for higher rates on customers who go solar

I won't argue that it is far cheaper to use the grid as a battery than to invest in actual physical batteries. I'm inclined to believe it is more efficient as well. But I would also suggest that the benefit SDG&E gets from receiving power at peak times and avoiding the need to buy power from...

How accurate is the "fuel" guage when charged to 80%

I just got my Leaf on 9/28 and have very little data. However, the two days worth of data seem very accurate in regards to distance travelled. I love the tech in my Prius. It was one of the main reasons why I went from a Porsche Boxster to a Prius but the Prius pales against Leaf with the...

How accurate is the "fuel" guage when charged to 80%

I just realized that I already have the answer I'm looking for: $0.42 / $0.138 per kWh = 3.04 kWh charged. Assuming 100% efficiency of charge and 11 mile trip = 3.6 miles/kWh. It is likely even better than that since we know energy is wasted during charging. Given she was not using ECO mode...

How accurate is the "fuel" guage when charged to 80%

I already threatened her with the "Data is being uploaded to CarWings web site any minute. Anything you want to confess now?". She threatened back with "I'm going back to driving the Prius".... :) Since the Blink charger reported the charge to replenish (back to 80%) her trip cost $0.42...

How accurate is the "fuel" guage when charged to 80%

Hi everyone. I just got my Leaf a few days ago and already I have a mystery. I've been able to get 4 - 4.5 miles/kWh on my trips. Today was the first day I had the Leaf charged to 80% (vs. 100%) and indeed Carwings showed 10 out of 12 bars in the morning. My wife took the Leaf to the gym and...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

Ordered at the end of May and just picked it up this week. I have to say this was probably the most painless car buying experience yet. And I buy cars every couple of years. Leon and his staff at Kearny Mesa Mossy Nissan were friendly, efficient and knowledgable. I ordered the car at a...

    A close call...

Leaffan, I didn't assume anything. We are talking about WA here as that's where this incident happened. You stated the above and said that it was illegal for her to take right lane. You didn't say it was illegal in AZ and as you stated your response to me you didn't know what the law was in...

    A close call...

I recently moved from Seattle to San Diego and had to study for the written test for my CA license. I was shocked to find out that it was NOT illegal to turn into the wider (right) lane. The manual said that either lane is fine. I can't speak for the law in Washington but I would not assume...

    Delivery of May 2011 Orders

How did you guys get the cold weather package? I thought that was a 2012 option? I'm about to get my SL at the end of this month but I believe it will still be a 2011 model. I ordered at the end of May.
