No it is not a requirement to carry either a Jack or a Spare wheel, wondered why nissan would bother with the extra expense ?

is that a USA thing only? the UK leaf has a Jack, its located in the boot (trunk) , behind a little door on the left hand side...

The UK Leaf has weight sensors too, they just added the on/off switch in the glove box to make it safe to fit a baby seat in the front

The regulations must differ in the UK, in the glove box, there is a key switch to turn the passenger airbag off...

I posted this reply before , the Jet engine sound IS the AC motor.... nothing else, nothing to do with inverters or anything technical, thats what happens when you spin an electric motor at plus 10,000 RPM.

UMM, Yes there is, at least on the UK model, Left hand side of boot (trunk lol) there is a little door, in there is a Jack.....

You CAN press the timer over ride button before plugging it in...

UK cars do not have a cover either, just a gaping hole lol

Have you not considered that its actually the motor itself? It does spin up to just under 10,500 RPM

It doesn't work that well, frequently, it failed to up date the track info, you it still displays the info from the previous song, and also the time counter doesn't work. Its still the same in IOS5 B2
