    Phoenix metro-area

Rare opportunity for someone who wants to join me in rolling the dice. There is apparently a rav4ev w/ 12k miles at Lesueur Motors in Tempe. Service is a gamble, but if you want 150 miles of range, it's the only game in town besides the model S. We have nearly 20k trouble free miles so far...

I really liked Trudy Varin at Avondale, but that was two years ago, and a lot can change at a dealer in that amount of time. I had the world's worst experience at Midway and I've spent a couple hours of my time writing scathing reviews of my experience on Yelp and dealer rating sites. Good luck.

Arizona Approves Grid-Connection Fees for Solar Rooftops

I pay about $10/mo with APS here in Phoenix on my 15.3kW system. I get paid retail rate for anything except excess generation, and then it's 3 cents per kWh. I'll overproduce about 6,000kWh this year, so that more than covers my monthly bill, but not much more. $5/mo isn't a big deal...

Ecotality filed for bankrupcy and intent to sell all assets

Parked in the now defunct Ecotality office parking lot tonight in Phoenix. Very sad: all units have been pulled out and there is a sign on the door informing the public of a lien against them (not surprising). Glad I didn't need a charge.

I'm curious what it takes to keep them live, and I'm wondering if that equipment is hosted here in Phoenix. I could bid on the stuff and put it in my casita:)

How much for a used Blink EVSE (not HQ)?

You should ask him to pay you to take it. You will have no warranty and will spend more to fix it when it breaks than it would cost for a more reliable model new. Also, the company might not even be in business long enough to repair your unit. Buy new, save the headaches.

Glad we're finally getting some choice in charging, especially with the sad state of Ecotality. I'll take our RAV there this weekend and see what charging temps look like. Any idea what the max charging speed is in these units?

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Mine was one. I looked it up using the VIN and it sold near Nashville. Had the same 10 bars and same range on the GOM as when they bought it back.

I live in Phoenix AZ 115+ hot summers - should I get a leaf?

I don't think I would buy/lease one here again. Look at the Ford Focus, as it has longer range and thermal management, and the lease deals are nearly as good as the Leaf's. It's a bummer that it doesn't have a QC port, but it does have the 6.6kW charger. Personally, I won't buy or lease...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Common sense, but always take a good look at the Carfax on a used Leaf. My 2-bar loser from Phoenix ended up being sold to a (likely) unsuspecting soul in Nashville.

Hey, all you Arizona solar owners/leasers, please write the AZ Corporation Commission to express your displeasure at the changes to net metering here. While they are grandfathering current owners for 20 years as a way to keep us quiet, I think we should all speak up for the future of rooftop...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Hey Nissan, let me "test" a couple of those degraded packs with my solar system:) Would fit nicely in the back of my garage.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I see a real PR nightmare coming for Nissan as all the hot weather cars hit the 20-30K mile mark. We were a statistical drop in the bucket last year when we initiated our buyback, but now Nissan has a serious number of cars on the road. Unless they are taking care of their customers, all these...

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

Around 6K miles on our RAV4 so far and no issues, fingers crossed.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I was driving home in my Volt and spotted a young couple pushing their Nissan Leaf out of traffic in 100+ degree heat . Normally I don't stop for these sorts of things since my back is not the best, but I felt dutybound to my fellow electrocitizens. They've only had it three weeks and the wife...
