FWIW, my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Sprint) connects fine with my 2011 Leaf. My guess is that a firmware update from the dealer will solve your issue.

Best way to keep it away from your legs is to install an extension cable for the port. I'd suggest a right-angle version, about 18", so you can put the OBDII in the center console. That way you can still see the activity lights.

Regarding font size ... would it be possible to capture the current setting when your app opens, set it to Normal, and then restore the previous setting when the app exits? Love the app, and the great work you're doing developing features! Cheers ... Michael
