All,

I am looking for a new set of low weight rims for our other Leaf Plus. Besides the EV01+ from fast wheels (which we have in our other Leaf Plus), any other suggestions?

Thought questions...what is your goal for lighter weight wheels (range, ride quality, 0-60 time, aesthetics)?
Are you only looking at aero wheels?
What size are you looking for?

Real questions: What is the weight of one of your EV01+ wheel? what size is it, diameter, width, offset?

Does the 2019 plus use the same brake calipers as 2018 40kwh, yes, i believe so?

On my 2018 40kwh I use:
Racing Hart cp-035 15x6 10.5 lbs with 17lb tires (Not aero, No longer made, rare).
Winter: Focal X 15x6.5 15.8 lbs with 20 lb tires (Not aero, discontinued?).

I also like the Konig Hypergram (Not aero).
Enkei RPF1 16" is lightish (15" is too small for my vehicle)

If a main goal is range on highway driving than stock wheels or EV01+ are probably best.
Hopefully someone else will post about other aerodynamic wheel options.

Thank you, and yes highway range is main consideration. Every watt taken off of cruising consumption reducing charging need(for the 600 miles in a day) and improves pack cooling (what little there is) as draw is reduced.

I don't have any specific recommendations, just saw that Tire Rack allows filtering wheels by weight.
Those enkei wheels are quoted at under 14lbs on tire rack which is pretty wild to me.

90% of my driving is in the city, so I already have an average of 15.5 kwh/100km on winter tires, so in my case it mainly depends on the weight, but of course these ROTA discs have a wonderful space to embed the smooth aerodynamic cover.

Please share with us which light weight tire you'll be using on the 16x7 Rota. Also, what is the weight of one of your new Rota wheels? Do you have specific Aero covers in mind already? I would be interested in what will work with those Rota wheels.

It is often less expensive to shed weight via tire selection than wheel selection (of course with balancing one's compromises of rolling resistance, tread life, grip etc). When it comes to rotational energy, the mass of the tire is more "weighted" (important) than the wheel given the distribution of tire mass at a larger radius.

GOODYEAR Efficientgrip Performance 2 205/55 r16

We'll see, I definitely won't give bigger discs, unfortunately the smallest carbon ones are still 18" (or Formula 13"), so there are only rolled barrels in 16".
