    ABS sensors Torn/ripped/CUT ?!!?!?!?!

Well, reason prevailed I guess, they're doing the work either for free or under warranty. They can't say when the damage occurred since it's been in their possession for 48+ hours so they're covering it. I spoke with a friend who knows his stuff and he said that there's no possible way they...

    ABS sensors Torn/ripped/CUT ?!!?!?!?!

After 2 yrs / 23k miles of trouble free driving, I'm preparing to turn in the lease next week, when the Leaf threw all sorts of dash lights at me - BRAKE, ABS, Traction Control, and maybe others. I immediately stop driving and get it into Nissan dealer. Here's what they're telling me. 1)...

    2013 Leaf acquisition advice

Of course an Accord is going to be similar. The Leaf was $199/m and lots of other cars are in that price range. But A) The Accord in question is $22k versus the $36k Leaf I leased. And B) the Accord is going to use 900 gallons of gas to cover the same mileage. Over the last two years gas...

    2013 Leaf acquisition advice

Is that including the $7,500? If you leased a Leaf you have a ridiculously low ownership cost. I ended up spending less than $7k on the car after tax credits, plus $900 in electricity for 24k miles. That's about $300/month including the car, "fuel", and taxes. And insurance has been really...

Official Infiniti LE thread - early 2017, 60 kWh

Exactly. Just like the initial delay of the Infiniti LE stopped the BMW i-series from going into production permanently. And Mercedes shuttered the EV B-class model too. Bummer. Hold on a second...

LeftieBiker this has been fun but I'm done.

Dealership issues / the Nissan survey you get after a visit

Sigh. THERE WAS NOBODY THERE. You think I just curled up into a ball and pretended I was invisible?

Dealership issues / the Nissan survey you get after a visit

I've had Hondas, Fords, Isuzus, even a Geo. Don't make this out to be something it isn't. Again, I submit to you that if the average person waited for ten minutes they'd be screaming for a manager. It's a seriously long period of time. You are surely exaggerating how long you've waited...

Dealership issues / the Nissan survey you get after a visit

If you stood for 10 minutes in a service bay by your car, you'd understand how absurdly long that is. In the last 20 years I'd estimate my average wait to be 10 seconds. Someone immediately walks up and greets you.

You're naive to how the auto industry operates. Projects are begun and ended abruptly on whims of executives regularly.

Umm, baloney. Tesla Model 3 is discussed by the company constantly. Infiniti stopped talking about the LE almost as soon as they announced it. If the LE is to be based on the next-gen Leaf, you've got quite a wait on your hands.

The LE is the exemplification of VAPORWARE until it arrives in a showroom near you. Don't hold your breath.

Official Infiniti LE thread - early 2017, 60 kWh

I read every auto blog and 5 car magazines a month. Find me an article saying the LE is coming out next year, written in the last 6-12 months.

That article is using information released in 2011/2012. The LE doesn't exist right now. And it's not coming out next year.

At this point I'd be surprised to see an Infiniti EV by 2018.

COLORADO- Figuring Federal credit into state credit HELP

Original Poster update: Looking at the actual form DR 0617 for 2013, the questions are: That's associated with the second part of my original post. And cleary, the answer here is $7,500, since although me, the lessor, can't claim the federal tax credit, Nissan, the lessee surely can and did...

COLORADO- Figuring Federal credit into state credit HELP

I leased a Leaf in 2013 in Colorado. Long story short I trusted TurboTax with my 2013 taxes and they completely ignored my Colorado State EV tax credit so I got nothing. I'm going to refile on paper and do it correctly to get the money! I know you have the choice to do either the 2010-2013 or...

Has anyone turned in their lease a few months early?

I'll give it a try when my next vehicle arrives. In February. That's your hint.

Has anyone turned in their lease a few months early?

Good to know. I've enjoyed my time in the Leaf but ready to move onwards and upwards.
