    PG&E / CPUC - Non-Tiered Time Of Use Rates

Same for me with the letter except I was transferred to E1!! As a NEMS customer there is no way it makes sense to be on E1, I would love to see their calculations. The NEMS bill has not been generated yet so I can't check the exact rate. It blows me away that when you are a NEMS customer you...

    PG&E / CPUC - Non-Tiered Time Of Use Rates

My calculations ended up going the other way. I'm a NET generator with my PV so the higher on-peak rate of EV-A actually made EV-A cheaper for me. I would not have thought it. I used this years usage to model it and the higher on-peak cost per Kwh pushes me to go with EV-A. If I start to drive...

    PG&E / CPUC - Non-Tiered Time Of Use Rates

I have PV so I'm going to have to re-do the sums between E6 and EV. We have been spoilt by E9 for sure. The 10c per Kwh(EV) vs 12c(E6) per Kwh off peak is the biggest difference. The part peak and peak are a lot more since there are no tiers. I did not even know that E1 was up to 15c per Kwh now!

San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

Interesting, it seems to be an AV DCFC per the picture, that will be a first for this area. I will definitely use it, getting to Napa currently for me is doable but this makes it much quicker.

Nissan To Install 500 More Quick Charge Stations

It is a Sumitomo / Nissan QC unit, CHADeMo only. No CCS that I could see. I will go back in the day when I have my EVgo card they are sending me.

    Nissan shutting out third-party apps

What if there is no official app for the platform, like in my case with Windows Phone. You can't take it away if you don't have another solution.

    Charging at SFO

There are plenty of outlets in the Long term and Lot D lots. I think over 20 spaces overall. If you can't find a space on the 2nd floor in Long term go out to the service lot. On the right by Stop 7 there are 4 spaces without outlets to use. SFO has stepped up well for Level 1 charging in Long...

San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

Looks like there is a new Blink DCQC @ Facebook in Menlo Park. Good to have some redundancy before you cross 84. Anyone tried it yet?

They install a NEMA 6-50R. The Blink for internal use has a NEMA 6-50P on it.

Plugshare is showing a new Blink DCFC @ Spirent in Sunnyvale. Nice to see a DCFC in the South Bay, definitely good placement right by SR237. It is not live yet, I'll have to check it out this weekend.

HOV Lane Stickers in Silicon Valley - how long does it take?

Mine took about 4 weeks. I posted them off on the 19th of Oct and saw the check was cashed on 11/14. They arrived next week. So look for the check cashing, there were a lot of Leaf's sold in the bay area in the last 3 months so it is taking longer. I was going to call them when I saw the check...

My quote was itemized (wish I could upload images).... The EV project admin fee was $250. It is definitely good business. One thing the installer mentioned to me is she also services the Blink's so it is probably a wash!

Unfortunately it is only Leaf and Volt buyers currently. When the ev project launched I guess the need a standard BEV and PhEV. We should ask if there is a plan to expand to other EV's now the selection is getting larger. The reports the project generates are fascinating.

Official EV Project / Ecotality / free charger thread

I could not find one place where the DOE and BAAQMD amount are broken out, just the EV Project one specifying that it provides $400 and then the local press release where the up to $1200 is specified...

DC Fast Chargers are Back on the BlinkMap

Yes, I noticed it with my leaf. If the car is in accessory mode the blink will not start charging it.

In the SF bay area the DOE contributes 400 and BAAQM kicks in $800. Due to the high labor costs you still need to kick in $400 even for the simplest install. I had mine installed yesterday.

Ecotality really need to do something about the touch screens on these DCFC's the left side on the unit @Intuit was not working when I tried it on Saturday. The maintenance on them will kill them alone.

SF BayLEAFs - e-NV200 Ride & Drives and Showcase May 28

They don't have demand charges on the commercial rates used for DCFC's. Have a look at this report: http://www.theevproject.com/downloads/documents/2.%20DC%20Fast%20Charge-Demand%20Charge%20Reduction%20V1.0%20Revised%20(2).pdf Specifically it says: Some of The EV Project utility partners do...

SF BayLEAFs - e-NV200 Ride & Drives and Showcase May 28

PG&E does not charge demand charges so this should be an issue in NorCal. Certain Muni power companies do so as long as the quick chargers are not in those locations it should be fine. There has been a lot of research into minimizing demand changes with DCQC. It has to be resolved to truly make...
