So... my 2011 Leaf won't drive due to the (only) key fob getting wiped when my local garage (using the official Nissan V44.76 software) tried to clone the key. They've done over 100 successful fob cloning up till now so are stumped about what to do.

I'm left with a car that will turn on but not go in to drive mode - and no key fob.

Anyone else head of this issue?

It's a 2011 Leaf so quite old (the VIN number is ZE0-009*** so it's range is now under 70km, which means it's not worth much :(

Attached image is the error message that the Nissan cloning software gave.

Hi Joe!

I found a key specialist who managed to revive the key and duplicate a couple of copies. Sometimes the expert is exactly what's needed. :)

Since then I've done a full battery swap in my driveway. Once I worked out the right jack and support setup it went very smoothly.

Which means I have a leftover 12kWh Leaf battery tempting me. 🤔

Have you posted about your battery swap experience elsewhere?
