I'm 3 months away from turning in my 2012. I've got an upgraded EVSE rather than the original one. What's the general consensus on what the best way to handle this is?

Assuming you had it done thru http://evseupgrade.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, see http://evseupgrade.com/?main_page=faq_info&fcPath=5&faqs_id=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. If you were to swap w/someone, best to swap for an '11 or '12 Leaf's L1 EVSE as the design changed w/the '13+ to a smaller one. NMAC could ding you for returning the wrong one, as if you didn't return it.

There was another member who leased a new leaf and got dinged for turning that in with his old car, so yeah definitely has to be an original 11-12 L1 charger. They do say people haven't had issues turning them in with the mod here: http://evseupgrade.com/?main_page=faq_info&fcPath=5&faqs_id=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; on their site, and they also offer to send you a downgraded unit for free as long as you pay shipping. So I would go that route. I was going to go that route when I turned my car in but now that is no longer an issue since it is staying.
