Sorry, but the Volt is a hybrid, not an EV. So it is the first plug-in hybrid to pass the 3K mark. You're comparing apples to oranges with the LEAF. Your comparison should be with other plug-in hybrids such as the PIP.
I think you've actually been featured in a movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb_qHP7VaZE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, and since you are a Troll, I don't look at any links...

No problem. Not a link for those lacking self awareness and/or an adult sense of humor. :D

August sales in Canada will be ~220, if reports of Canada's initial MY13 LEAF shipment only consisting of 250 vehicles are correct. (The official launch date was July 19 and the supply was quickly sold-out, with most customers taking delivery in early August.)

Well, I was WAY off. Only 56 LEAF's listed as being sold in August. Dealers are supposed to receive another batch of new LEAF's here shortly. Perhaps the figure of 250 was wrong, perhaps it included cars to be shipped in September.

We (and by that I mean Eric) does a rundown of the plug-in sales in Canada over at IEV, but like other countries we usually wait a bit and space them out...just so people don't drown in numbers.

Amazingly enough, some people don't care for them, (=

I've moved Volt EV miles vs Leaf ev miles to a different thread. Let us keep that discussion to that thread.

Why does it take Ford so long to report their numbers anyhow ?

They drive me crazy, (=

Anyway, I just got them and posted them up:

August 2013 Plug-In Electric Vehicle Sales Report Card

Fusion Energi: 600
RAV4 EV: 231
Focus Electric: 175
C-Max Energi: 621

All complete now...well, I still need to get smart ED's numbers, but the person who can split out the numbers is on vacation atm, so we grab those later and fill them in.

It is great to see total plug in vehicles sail past the 10,000 mark.

Now who do you think is going to be the first EV to break into the top 30 sales list and how long will it take ?

Tesla gen III, 2018.
Leaf 2017 ;)

In August the 30th vehicle sold about 13k. So, we are looking at some 150k per year.

Not a single "premium" model in the top 30 now. But Lexus RX (11k) and BMW 3 series (10k) are close. #15 on premium is Lincoln MKZ at 3652.

Remember that shopping activity and sales are two very different things and that the former does not necessarily result in the latter...

True that. On the other hand it's very encouraging since without the former you definitely don't get the latter. The sales funnel means the more "lookers" you have the more "buyers" you end up having.
