I really don't get gids ? Should we be going by AH or Gids or both ? or the health reading ?

I'm assuming my battery is still near perfect anyway so I am happy enough.

I estimate at this level of capacity loss or no loss lol I should with work charging should last a very very long time and much longer than the Gen 1 battery.

I probably still won't keep it after my lease is up because I don't know how long I would be in this job and I'm pretty sure the next one won't provide charging so I would like the extra range of the Gen II Leaf in 2018. It would be nice to be able to do a real 150 miles on one charge and still have some left.

IIRR, it's like 77.5 Wh = 1 GID, or just about 13 GIDs per kWh. I use the GID reading below LBW to estimate if I'm going to make it to my next station. At ~4 m/kWh, or 4 miles per 13 GIDs, I know I've got about 8 miles to VLBW.

My #'s have increased slightly over past 150 miles with 3 L1 charges. Still waiting for my L2 to arrive.

Last week:
AHr: 57.49
SOH: 92
Hx: 87.95
odo: 359

Today:
AHr: 58.35
SOH: 93
Hx: 89.73
odo: 507

Did notice one code in the Service Screen. Anyone see this code before?

xHfOT4X.png

If you're referring to quick charger comm, yes I have. Down to a dodgy ChaDeMo plug not making a proper connection, it would attempt to charge then stop and a few days later when I scanned for codes just out of pure curiosity not even thinking about the plug issue, I saw that code.

I would say charge at the DC chargers if you can or at 6.6 Kw if you have it for a couple of days.

Did code go away on its own? Or does dealer have to reset it?

Sorry only seeing this , yeah leaf spy is a pretty cool app ! :)

It sure is. Glad I paid the extra $5 for the Pro version. Still a lot about the app I have to learn!

I'm starting to get disappointed in the latest stats. I'm down 6-8% on various metrics from my best in only 6 months and less than 4,000 miles.
(GIDs -6.5%, kWh -6.2%, Hx -8.3%) My SOH and SOC have barely budged though.

The summer was hot but the last 2 weeks have started to cool down. I thought I'd see the stats stay the same and start to trend up but they're still going down. I've been charging to 100% lately but I always drive it down to 80% or less within a few hours.

The only thing I've been doing differently is not charging to 100% like I did for the first 4 months I owned the car and the summer heat. Definitely a surprise to me when I thought it was doing well and thinking changing to charging to only 70-80% in the summer would benefit it. Maybe it hurt instead?

It seems there are several of you with 2015 lizard batteries that are already down to 58 AHrs, same as my 2013 Leaf that has lived a life of baking in a very hot climate. I don't find this encouraging.

I would have to agree, i.e. MY 2013 (delivery 12/1/13) with 60 Ahr @ 3K (4/14), now with 54 Ahr @ 24.3K.

Wow, jwalbaum! Great stats! Your climate must have something to do with it. Highest reading of 82!

I spent the majority of the summer at 6 temp bars and hit 7 a handful of times. Just recently I finally got back to 5 temp bars but will hit 6 at the peak temp of the day.

Is 4-5 temp bars the sweet spot?

Picked up my leaf beginning of October; 2015 S w/ charge option. Manufacture date was 9/14, so it was already a year old by the time I got it, having sat through a hot summer at the dealers.

Just got leafspy last week and this is what I'm seeing after a full charge.

Pretty much like my numbers with our 2 week old S w/ QC at 600 miles. Waiting to see how my numbers change after I get L2 charger at home. What have your charging habits been?

For the most part L1 charging at home 3 times a week, with opportunistic L2 charging at public charging stations, and the occasional QC for longer trips.

I had been aiming at charging to 80-90% for battery friendliness, but based on the idea of doing a number of full cycles I'm aiming to charge to 100% for the immediate future. I don't have any plans to install a L2 charger at home, as I don't drive enough to need to charge that often.

So I did below 20% charge to 100% last night, and it got more of a charge, but the SOH and AHr are down...

During the past month, I decided to use the CHAdeMO Quick Charger at my local Nissan dealer on a regular basis, as sort of an experiment, and my battery has--perhaps coincidently--really gone to hell during this time:

10/31/2015 * 7,281 mi * 211 L1/L2s & 16 QC * 4.5 mi/kWh (for the past month):
96.2% SOC * 268 GIDs * 20.8 kWh * 57.69 AHr * 92% SOH * 88.37% Hx
(Note that these are the worst/lowest values I have recorded since buying the car about 10 months ago.)

Yes, I'm down to BELOW 58 AHrs (and 268 GIDs and 20.8 KWh) after only 10 months and about 7,000 miles in my 2015 LEAF.

NOT very encouraging.

I was wondering what others were showing on their 2015 Lizard packs and was surprised to see some bad numbers. I had a '13 before and had good luck but now with LeafSpy, I can see how my '15 is doing and it's been great so far.
At just over 7 months of ownership I am showing:

Mileage - 8420
SOH - 100%
GIDS - 292
Ahr - 62.23
Hx - 96.16%

So obviously 100% GIDS is good, but what does the Hx really mean to me?
