+1 They waived mine because I leased another LEAF.

So really, if the dealerships don't have any wiggle room from Nissan corporate on that $395 fee... then that needs to be factored into the total cost of the lease:
Down/First Payment (if applicable)
# of months times Monthly Payment
Dispo Fee
Equals TOTAL COST of lease

I can't say what I intend to do at the end of the 24 month lease, so that fee is a factor. It's an extra cash grab by Nissan, IMHO

when i leased my prius back in 2010, they took the $400 off the downpayment price.

I intended up negotiating the "mandatory" $395 Dispo Fee down two ways:
Partially out of the Down Payment and partially out of my 23 remaining monthly payments.
