I've been studying Leafs since Nissan was trotting around their prototype dressed as a Cube.
I use the heater often.. so that eliminated the '11-12 cars, in favor of the heatpump .
I have the hots for the Pearl and light interior.. not found in later cars.

our primary use will be round trips of 40-50 miles total. 10 miles downhill outbound
10 miles uphill inbound at 35-40 mph.
Plenty of charge and QC stations where we live.
I figured we could live quite a while with a degraded battery if we had to.

Up pops a plain vanilla 2013 SV with QC and driving lights but no cam
35.5K miles 11 bars ( haven't attacked it Leaf Spy yet.. tomorrow I will)
1 real eco tire and 3 el-cheapo new ones. Orange county lease car.

asking $9899...

I have looked at plenty of '13 SV's with cameras for around 10,700 ( this spring)

So, now it seems this has these negatives:

1. Early battery chemistry ( came as 11-12's)
2. Warm to Hot Evironment all it's life
3. Wrong Tires ( $500 for new set ?)
4. 35K ( relatively high miles)

It has 15 months and 25K miles left on the battery capacity warranty.
Seems like an unlikely candidate for a new battery.. unless it is about to shed a bar soon
and I abuse it too ( not my nature but I know how ! )

I offered $8800... which I think would be just ducky...
but am I a damn fool ?

if this were a cold climate car.. like Washington I'd be happier.

we live in N.Cal.. seldom above 80 here... generally ocean moderated temps.. and never freezes, but gets damp.
it can live in the shade.

It's a poor bet. I'd look for a loaded later-build '13 with 11-12 bars, and pay a bit more. That 'Canary Pack' car would probably drop to 9-10 bars in the next few years.
