Andretti Team Joins Formula E

On Wednesday, IndyCar team Andretti Autosport became the third of 10 teams to sign up to the FIA Formula E Championship -- the world's first fully electric global racing series, beginning in 2014.

Note-to date Mario Andretti remains the only driver ever to win the Indianapolis 500 (1969), Daytona 500 (1967) and the Formula One World Championship.

That adds a lot of credibility to the Formula E program to have AA in the mix. Hope they can pull it off!

It was really awesome! The Circuit of the Americas is now open for business; or rather the track is completed as the grounds still need a little bit of work. However, the venue is still on for a Formula One race in Nov and race star Mario Andretti took the ceremonial first lap.
