Since April Fools' Day jokes typically center around something people care about, I'll predict that there were more than a couple related to the LEAF today!

My wife had planned to tell me a story about "a burning smell in the garage and the charger is all black" but decided I would't be able to handle it.

So I concocted a "where's the LEAF" scenario to imply that it was stolen. My wife was in on it and we fooled all the children. I know, pretty lame, but trust me, they are all plotting their revenge! :D

So did your LEAF figure into April Fools' Day at your house?
(If not, there's still time! )

In Simi?
94 miles one way for me,
and shy 70 from Cypress (the QC).

So, with a full QC, we could get there, but would require
a fairly long L2 to get back to the Cypress QC.

How many miler per gallon does your LEAF get?

I don't know. Ask the Dept of energy.

I didn't order the "liquid electricity tank" option.

Yes, I know it's NOT funny...

Just got this from an insider, the WADOT is going to unveil the electric highway tomorrow, "ahead of schedule". Ecotality got canned so all the extra funding went to putting in DCQC's all over the state. there will be QC's every 25 miles from canada to Oregon, along I-90 from Spokane to Seattle, all along route 2 and circling the peninsula. There will also be QC's on every major ferry. This is to meet a sudden wave of buying interests in EV's due to Fox News discovering just how viable they actually are and actively promoting them to the vast population of conservative new car buyers.

Somewhere on the forum someone was joking about wanting to add a fake oil dip stick to his LEAF and fill it with chocolate so that he could lick it.

Special Report
April 1, 2012

San Diego, California, USA - (AFJ) - Everybody knows that the world has an unlimited supply of $2.50/gal gasoline, but some drivers have been forced by Hussein Obama (the first non-native born and Muslim President of the USA) to drive cars powered by filthy coal (and not the clean coal that the industry could produce, if not for Hussein interfering).

These so called "electric cars" can have a range proven to be as low as 16.8 miles, Americans should be rightly outraged at this dictator's policies.

One such person, Tony Williams, was met with government agents one spring morning last year, who ordered Williams to accept a foreign built "Nissan LEAF". When he rightly refused, they indicated that they had proof that he wasn't a real, Church going, native born American., and could be deported to the socialist, foggy Hell from whence he came. Williams wisely accepted the car.

Agents instructed Williams how to artificially infllate his odometer readings to a number far, far greater than the 16.8 mile daily range, so as to promote that the car could go tens of thousands of miles per year.

Then Williams received a device from Thane C. Heins that could allegedly power his electric car forever. He plugged it in, and sure enough, the stars all aligned, and the car did in fact run forever.

The end.

News Flash--Tornado hits Nissan Dealership

A freak tornado overturned dozens of cars at a Nissan dealership in southern Indiana on Sunday. The damaged cars were quickly righted by a cadre of concerned environmentalists who, when asked by News 7 why they had volunteered their time, said: "We all just wanted to turn over a new LEAF!"

lol

Is this the same Mr. Tony Williams that once he had the unlimited power from the Thane C. Heins
device was able to reach escape velocity in his LEAF and landed on the moon. And when he
reported back finding no evidence of the Apollo 11 moon landing had his library card, driver's
license, and citizenship revoked, and subsequently was banished from the Earth.

Allegedly, he was able to take off again and made his way to Mars.

Unconfirmed reports have it that since then he has been imprisoned for preaching that there is
intelligent life on Earth.

Local Nissan dealer reports that Leaf's are "Dry Clean Only" and can only be properly cleaned using their propriatary equipment, for just $249.99. This includes a through dry cleaning of your Nissan Leaf along with complementary headlight fluid replacement.

The same dealer also mailed out oil change coupons entitling all Leaf owners to a $19.95 oil change along with chrome muffler bearing replacement as well...
